meh, even at $400/pr this is not a great deal for a single 5.25" woofer bookshelf with lousy 86db sensitivity. If you are dead set on KEF (they do have pretty cabinets), then save up for the Q3 Meta which at least gives you a decent 6.5" woofer and more output capability. I'd only use the Q1 for desktop or surrounds, or if in a small bedroom perhaps. Way better performing options at $400/pr are available.

The only good price to performance deal in this KEF "sale" is the 3-way Q Concerto for $1K/pr ... nice for music listening.

God help you if you get suckered into buying any of their silly overpriced and underperforming subs, unless you are under drastic WAF constraints where being pretty and compact is the sole criterion and actual performance doesn't matter at all.
