Been on Mint three years and Visible for six... Never have I had network issues in regards to throttling. Theme parks, sports arenas, you name it. It's been worth the savings and convenience without question!

This is getting warmer. Better than Visible's initial promo posted last week.

Holding off for better offers.

Community Reviews

Mint Mobile's $15 monthly promo is a low-cost way to get T Mobile network service, including the unlimited plan, with free shipping on physical SIMs and hotspot support. The comments highlight solid reception for many, including in crowded venues and on 5G Standalone for iPhone, with some saying it feels faster or more reliable than expected. The main tradeoffs are the upfront payment, higher renewal pricing after the first term, de prioritization or throttling in busy areas, and limits like 20GB hotspot, SD video, and no smartwatch or unlimited hotspot option. It looks like a strong budget carrier if those constraints fit your usage.

  • Mint Mobile can deliver strong signal strength and fewer call drops in some metro areas.

  • Mint Mobile can avoid noticeable throttling in crowded venues for some long-term users.

    BJDeals666coachclass

  • Mint Mobile can include hotspot support with up to 20GB and SD video streaming for unlimited plans.

    StrawMan86haggler

  • Mint Mobile can provide 5G Standalone access for iPhone users, which may improve coverage versus other T-Mobile MVNOs.

  • Mint Mobile promo pricing can end after the initial term, and renewal pricing can be higher.

    rh71StrawMan86

  • Mint Mobile can throttle or reduce speeds after heavy usage over 50GB in busy locations for the rest of the cycle.

    StrawMan86_NERD

  • Mint Mobile can limit smartwatch support and can lack an unlimited hotspot option for some users.

    zen_cohenbobbypolo

  • Mint Mobile can have billing and renewal issues, including being charged for two plans concurrently.

Around here in CA the 180 annual plan comes out to around 210 with fees. It's roughly $17.50 a month all in which is still cheap for an unlimited plan with hotspot.
Metro has no hotspot but you get T-Mobile Tuesdays and physical stores if you care about that. This is less of a big deal now with eSim.

FYI, no smartwatch plan. Found out the hard way. Switched from Visible (free smartwatch plan) to Mint and no smartwatch option at all. Not a big deal for me but if it is for you, heads up.
Thanks for pointing this out since wife has an Apple Watch. We pay AT&T $15 for the smartwatch plan and $40 for each of the 4 phone lines and I probably need to switch.

I prefer Mint's service but can't leave Visible because Mint doesn't have unlimited hotspot. Maybe some day!

Ditto, would not mind a discounted phone to sweeten the deal, but we'll see. My Boost deal ends on BF...
