Community Reviews
Mint Mobile's $15 monthly promo is a low-cost way to get T Mobile network service, including the unlimited plan, with free shipping on physical SIMs and hotspot support. The comments highlight solid reception for many, including in crowded venues and on 5G Standalone for iPhone, with some saying it feels faster or more reliable than expected. The main tradeoffs are the upfront payment, higher renewal pricing after the first term, de prioritization or throttling in busy areas, and limits like 20GB hotspot, SD video, and no smartwatch or unlimited hotspot option. It looks like a strong budget carrier if those constraints fit your usage.

Whether reception is better with one than the other in any given building is impossible to know without testing.
But T-Mobile's network has the technical advantage of "owning" more of the airwaves at the lower-frequency bands that travel further and are better at penetrating buildings.
Being on Verizon's network often means slow speeds in dense buildings since their slice of the low-frequency spectrum gets crowded more quickly (think 4-lane highway versus 10-lane highway). This is especially true for de-prioritized service (where you are in the slow lanes of the 4-lane highway), though Visible+ and Visible+ Pro are not de-prioritized. (IE they have the same high-priority as Verizon postpaid, Spectrum Mobile etc.)
While Mint is de-prioritized, in many situations you may actually be better off in the slow lanes of their 10-lane highway than in the fast lanes of Verizon's 4-lane highway.
You might consider looking for a T-Mobile MVNO that does a free trial to see if it's an improvement.
