This CyberPowerPC build is framed as a strong value for a high end gaming desktop, with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT driving most of the appeal. The parts pricing is broken out as roughly $2,000 before the SSD and case, which makes the $2,199.99 tag look reasonable, especially with liquid cooling included. The main caution is timing, since GPU prices are expected to rise and waiting may not lead to a cheaper system. It reads as a solid pick for someone who wants top tier gaming performance now.
PC gamers wanting a high-end tower now, because the parts pricing and GPU shortages make a comparable build hard to assemble cheaper.
The listed parts alone roughly add up to $2,000+ before the SSD and case: the RX 9070 XT is around $919+, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D about $450, the RAM about $450, and the motherboard about $150-200. That makes the $2199.99 system price look reasonable for a prebuilt with liquid cooling and the rest of the components included.
It is very similar to the Micro Center PowerSpec G541 except for the chip, and the CyberPowerPC's Ryzen 7 9800X3D is considered the stronger gaming CPU. A separate Micro Center Aurora ACT1250 with an RTX 5070 Ti is not necessarily better for gaming because the GPU tradeoff is roughly a wash, with AMD offering more VRAM and the 5070 Ti doing better in path tracing.
Waiting may not help much because AMD GPU prices are expected to rise and Nvidia 50-series cards are also projected to increase. If you need a system now, this deal is likely close to the floor, with Black Friday/Cyber Monday as the main chance to catch something better.
Yes, it is a major upgrade over a 7-year-old gaming laptop and is positioned as a strong value if you want a ready-to-use high-end gaming desktop now. The 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT combination is also viewed as a top-tier gaming setup for current pricing.
That one is pretty decent. The 9070 XT is $919+ on pcpartpicker alone. CPU is $450. Ram ~$450. Mobo $150-200. That right there is $2000+ alone. Still need SSD, case, etc.

Thoughts? Very similarhttps://www.microcenter.com/product/714627/powerspec-g541-gaming-pc except for the chip?
AMD has gpu price hike coming this month, and Nvidia doing a $500 increase on the 50 series gpus. It's unlikely you get anything cheaper than this at this point.
Worst case hold out till BF/Cyber monday and return this if you find something better, but I think it's highly unlikely.

So the price difference is only $200-250 if you buy the cpu outright but they're charging $400+. I'm sure there's some other little differences but unless you're wanting latest and greatest, this one would work great.

That is $500 for the 5090, which is seemingly not available for less than $5k.
Microcenter is telling you it's over for the 5090, all listings are "not carried" except for the $10k ASUS ROG 20th anniversary edition. Best Buy doesn't have any to order.
5070 is going up $135, but it wouldn't be surprising if the board manufacturers double or triple that.
If someone needs something now, it might not be good to wait.
My kid wants a Gaming Computer to Mod Gorilla tag on his VR. This is way out of the budget of $1000 any body know of a good computer to get, or at least the specs. If figure closer to Xmas there will be sales.

I'm sorry, but AI (Sam, elon, Larry, mark, etc) have really mucked stuff up. $1000 is not going to get you far. Maybe a friend or trustworthy work associate might have a used computer…
Specs when i Google don't seem too high, if you're near a microcenter maybe the AM5 7500x3d bundle at $400 if you can build (but has one 16gb dimm) or the (older AM4 at $299) 5600x3d with two 8gb dimms. But even the 9070XT has exploded in price, up to $900.
I recommend a top tier psu, I'd just start with a new RM850x, it can drive your cards in the future.
It's all bad for people with limited discretionary funds.
Maybe roll the dice for a 1060 6GB on fbmp, might be able to get for $75.
If you're looking to output at 4k, I don't think you can get it together for that price. 1080 might be achievable with a fbmp gpu.
