This CyberPowerPC build is framed as a strong value for a high end gaming desktop, with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RX 9070 XT driving most of the cost. The parts breakdown puts the GPU, CPU, memory, and motherboard near the asking price before the SSD and case are even counted, and the liquid cooler adds more value over an air cooled version. The main caveat is that newer GPU prices may keep rising, so waiting for a cheaper system may not help much. It stands out as a solid all in one gaming rig if you want current hardware now.

That one is pretty decent. The 9070 XT is $919+ on pcpartpicker alone. CPU is $450. Ram ~$450. Mobo $150-200. That right there is $2000+ alone. Still need SSD, case, etc.

AMD has gpu price hike coming this month, and Nvidia doing a $500 increase on the 50 series gpus. It's unlikely you get anything cheaper than this at this point.

Worst case hold out till BF/Cyber monday and return this if you find something better, but I think it's highly unlikely.

So the price difference is only $200-250 if you buy the cpu outright but they're charging $400+. I'm sure there's some other little differences but unless you're wanting latest and greatest, this one would work great.

The 9800 is also liquid cooled versus air on the 7500, if that matters to a person. That will add $75-150 as well.

Couldn't resist and bought one. It's going to be much better than my 7 year old gaming laptop.

That is $500 for the 5090, which is seemingly not available for less than $5k.

Microcenter is telling you it's over for the 5090, all listings are "not carried" except for the $10k ASUS ROG 20th anniversary edition. Best Buy doesn't have any to order.

5070 is going up $135, but it wouldn't be surprising if the board manufacturers double or triple that.

If someone needs something now, it might not be good to wait.

My kid wants a Gaming Computer to Mod Gorilla tag on his VR. This is way out of the budget of $1000 any body know of a good computer to get, or at least the specs. If figure closer to Xmas there will be sales.

I'm sorry, but AI (Sam, elon, Larry, mark, etc) have really mucked stuff up. $1000 is not going to get you far. Maybe a friend or trustworthy work associate might have a used computer…

Specs when i Google don't seem too high, if you're near a microcenter maybe the AM5 7500x3d bundle at $400 if you can build (but has one 16gb dimm) or the (older AM4 at $299) 5600x3d with two 8gb dimms. But even the 9070XT has exploded in price, up to $900.

I recommend a top tier psu, I'd just start with a new RM850x, it can drive your cards in the future.

It's all bad for people with limited discretionary funds.

Maybe roll the dice for a 1060 6GB on fbmp, might be able to get for $75.

If you're looking to output at 4k, I don't think you can get it together for that price. 1080 might be achievable with a fbmp gpu.
