This Ridgid 18V brushless 3 inch by 18 inch belt sander is a factory blemished Direct Tools Outlet unit that still qualifies for Ridgid warranty coverage and the lifetime service agreement when registered. The listing also shows a 3 year warranty, and the service agreement process can take extra effort, with receipt uploads, follow up by chat or email, or even phone calls sometimes needed. Some registrations go through with a screenshot or PDF of the order. It is a solid way to get the tool with warranty support, as long as you are ready to handle the paperwork.

If you're willing to call 3 times and physically mail in your receipts. Be ready for the hassle, but eventually you can get the LSA.

Yeah this is literally the way. I finally got my LSA approved yesterday on this sander after calling them twice. Fortunately, by calling Ridgid I didn't have to physically mail in the receipt, but they definitely don't make easy.

I thought Ridgid factory blemished tools from Direct Tools Outlet qualified for the lifetime LSA. However, this does specify a 3 year warranty while it would be the lifetime LSA if purchased new at Home Depot (https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../300716202)

I am lucky, I just make a screen shot of my DTO order, and they accept it.

It does but the process isn't as easy as buying tools from Home Depot.

Every new (blemished, not refurbished) Ridgid tool from this vendor comes with a 3-year warranty in addition to the LSA that you need to register for. https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ty-program

"Covered by a 3-Year Limited Warranty. Qualifying products are eligible for LSA when registered with RIDGID within 90 days of purchase."

And no, you don't need to physically mail anything in. Just upload your receipt on the registration page and if it doesn't automatically go through then send them an email or chat to request a review and it'll go through no problem.

As others are saying, this is eligible for LSA, but now ridgid requires you to jump through some hoops. They used to let you just upload a picture of the receipt to their site and they would give you LSA. Then you had to upload the receipt and then chat with a representative to process the LSA. Now you're supposed to mail your receipt to then, but if you call they will still process it for you.

blemished did/do qualify for LSA but the reconditioned do NOT. as others have said, you will have to work for the LSA for some reason and follow up.

I'm glad people have gotten lucky uploading their DTO receipt.

Do it early. Their site says mail in for DTO and you don't want to leave it til the deadline.

Another warning. Immediately test the tool upon receipt. You have seven days to notify them if you get a dead one. Don't let it sit in the box for 10 days or you'll have to deal with the warranty/LSA instead of getting a replacement from DTO.

I have this rotary hammer. After using masonry bits into concrete using a standard drill for so long, this has been a night-and-day difference in speed.

I've also never had to struggle too much to get my DTO blemished tools covered by LSA. Submit my receipt as a PDF, fill in their contact form noting the information and link to that uploaded receipt in the message. I usually have a confirmation it has been processed in 24-48 hours.
