Old model, open box, VA panel, only 100Hz. There's plenty of 32-34" new monitors on the market that are significantly better at a similar price point.

That one is brighter, faster refresh, and double the refresh rate so definitely has some better specs.

Exactly what would be best for anyone at a particular price point would come down to use case (gaming, working, etc...) since monitors aren't exactly one-size-fits-all.

do you happen to have a rec for someone who wants to use their monitor daily for working from home and sometimes for gaming?

Ironically I have this exact monitor. And after about 3 years it has just died, so I was looking around for replacement options when I stumbled on this thread.

Besides the very short life span, just wasn't impressed with this monitor overall. Not bright enough, not wide enough color gamut, poor placement of ports, poor build quality.

This was not LG's finest moment. Spend your money elsewhere.

I don't have a specific one, but what I would say is consider the size / resolution you're targeting and then consider what you value from there. If you briefly read up on the different panel types (OLED, IPS, VA, TN, etc.) it may help you determine what would have the best tradeoffs for the kind of work you do / gaming needs / budget.

I'd also remind that Black Friday / Cyber Monday are also nearly upon us and that's usually a fairly decent time to buy accessories like monitors.
