My chart here speaks for itself. This is Amazon cheapening its Prime benefits, while charging you the same annual fee (and increasing it). Amazon is pretending to give you something, but actually benefits from displacing UberEats as its own storefront and payment processor/discounter.

Prime now unlocks $0 delivery fees on restaurant orders of $25 or more through the Uber Eats store on Amazon, with a quick opt in flow and a tile that opens a ready to order page. The benefit appears to work for pickup too, and it replaces the free Grubhub Plus perk. The main limits are that it does not work in the regular Uber Eats app or website, does not stack with Uber One, and still leaves service fees, tips, and higher item prices in place. Amazon Pay and gift cards also do not seem to work, so the savings can be modest.

  • Prime members who place orders in a browser or Amazon storefront, because the benefit shows up there and the app can be confusing to use.

    Walstar2NeoCalSaint

  • People ordering restaurant delivery through Amazon who want free delivery fees on $25+ orders, because the benefit activates there and applies to eligible restaurant orders.

    Inbox

  • People who are happy to pick up their food themselves, because the benefit still works perfectly for pickup orders.

    D.E.L

  • People who rely on Uber One-style service-fee savings, because this benefit only waives delivery fees and leaves service fees intact.

    Peggy13SomethingAzn2bonfire184

  • People who want to use Uber gift cards or Costco gift-card value, because this setup does not accept gift cards.

    SDU23gonepostl

  • People who need a simple in-app ordering flow, because the benefit can be hard to find in the app and may only be visible in a browser.

    Walstar2NeoCalSaint

  • Costco shoppers who expect the same merchant access as the regular Uber app, because Costco is not available in this Prime-linked experience.

The biggest deal-breaker for me is there is no Costco but there is on the regular Uber app and Uber One.

This is not a good deal. This *only* makes delivery fee free for participating retailers. It DOES NOT reduce the service fee similar to paying for Uber One or whatever their premium saving subscription is. Most orders this means you're saving $0.50 to $1.00 delivery fee and that's the only benefit.

This is awesome, thanks. I have the Amex Uber benefit so I don't really care about dilution of Amazon benefits. I never even knew they existed. I'll take a free $40 tho

YOU WILL SAVE $ if you go for "OFFER" on Uber Eats app. Everyday SO MANY buy 1 get 1 free dishes from many different restaurants, many 10%-50% off from regular price and these offer you won't able to get if you buy direct from restaurants. Go click OFFERS on Uber Eats app . You can also do a pickup if you are on the way to save delivery. UBER EATS can save a lot of $ if you use is wisely . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Looks like you have to use Amazon pay and can't use uber giftcards, so doesn't stack with the $80 for $100 giftcards from Costco. So other than the initial $20 off $25 promo, this is not worth using.
This is exactly what I was wondering. That's dumb. I'll stick to my discounted Door Dash gift cards and free DD via my Sapphire card.

Looks like it doesn't stack with UberOne? So high service fee
This "benefit" sucks. My order with Grubhub today (I always create cart with Uber, Grubhub and DoorDash and pick the cheapest for that order. Today I used this instead of Uber One to compare) was CHEAPER than this benefit with $20 off. The service fee was $12 alone, and there was no discount on the food.

Amazon is constantly watering down their offerings while upping the prices. Gotta take care of the shareholder, I know, but if they keep screwing their customers they'll lose both.

What a great company Amazon was once. It's just sad to see what they've become. It's like Google going from their slogan of "do no evil" to dropping the slogan and becoming Evil Inc.
