Uber Eats through Prime is mainly a delivery fee waiver for restaurant orders of $25 or more, activated through Amazon.com/UberEats and limited to the Amazon Uber Eats storefront. It can work well for pickup too, with the promo and fee removal showing up there, and the app tile leads straight into an order page. The main catches are high service fees, marked up menu prices, no Uber One style savings, and no gift card stacking. It also ends if Prime is paused or canceled, making it a narrow convenience perk rather than a full Uber Eats replacement.

  • Pickup orders can remove pickup service fees while still applying the $20 promo discount.

  • Prime members can activate a $0 delivery fee benefit by opting in at Amazon.com/UberEats.

  • The benefit can end immediately if Prime is canceled or paused, so it stays tied to active membership.

  • The Prime+Uber Eats tile in the app can take you to an ordering page ready to place an order.

  • The benefit reportedly does not stack with Uber One and may leave high service fees unchanged.

  • Uber Eats menu prices can be marked up versus buying directly from the restaurant, which can offset delivery-fee savings.

  • The $0 delivery fee benefit applies only to restaurant orders $25+ in the Uber Eats store on Amazon, not the Uber Eats app or website.

  • Costco availability is missing in the Prime-linked Uber Eats experience, even though it appears in the regular Uber app or Uber One.

The biggest deal-breaker for me is there is no Costco but there is on the regular Uber app and Uber One.

This is not a good deal. This *only* makes delivery fee free for participating retailers. It DOES NOT reduce the service fee similar to paying for Uber One or whatever their premium saving subscription is. Most orders this means you're saving $0.50 to $1.00 delivery fee and that's the only benefit.

My chart here speaks for itself. This is Amazon cheapening its Prime benefits, while charging you the same annual fee (and increasing it). Amazon is pretending to give you something, but actually benefits from displacing UberEats as its own storefront and payment processor/discounter.
Can't use gift cards!? I got like $600 worth!!

This is awesome, thanks. I have the Amex Uber benefit so I don't really care about dilution of Amazon benefits. I never even knew they existed. I'll take a free $40 tho

the issue is the tip isn't free and the price of goods are 20% higher give us 5-10 dollars free credits per month like amex plat

YOU WILL SAVE $ if you go for "OFFER" on Uber Eats app. Everyday SO MANY buy 1 get 1 free dishes from many different restaurants, many 10%-50% off from regular price and these offer you won't able to get if you buy direct from restaurants. Go click OFFERS on Uber Eats app . You can also do a pickup if you are on the way to save delivery. UBER EATS can save a lot of $ if you use is wisely . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Looks like you have to use Amazon pay and can't use uber giftcards, so doesn't stack with the $80 for $100 giftcards from Costco. So other than the initial $20 off $25 promo, this is not worth using.
This is exactly what I was wondering. That's dumb. I'll stick to my discounted Door Dash gift cards and free DD via my Sapphire card.

Looks like it doesn't stack with UberOne? So high service fee
This "benefit" sucks. My order with Grubhub today (I always create cart with Uber, Grubhub and DoorDash and pick the cheapest for that order. Today I used this instead of Uber One to compare) was CHEAPER than this benefit with $20 off. The service fee was $12 alone, and there was no discount on the food.

Amazon is constantly watering down their offerings while upping the prices. Gotta take care of the shareholder, I know, but if they keep screwing their customers they'll lose both.

What a great company Amazon was once. It's just sad to see what they've become. It's like Google going from their slogan of "do no evil" to dropping the slogan and becoming Evil Inc.

It works perfectly for pickup. It is still worth it if you are up for grabbing it yourself.
The perk is $0 delivery fee. Explain how picking it up yourself benefits from waiving a fee you wouldn't be charged for pickup anyway

Agree this is a straight downgrade. I'll use the two $20 discounts on small orders and never touch it again. The service fees are so high you'd be better off just paying for a doordash sub than using this "Prime Benefit". Luckily Grubhub is offering free membership extension through 2027.

Pretty insulting how they market this like it's a great perk when one simply can see the numbers are worse...

It shows the discount on pickup for me so that's the route I'm going. No fees

Pick it up yourself like I did on way home from work and I still got $20 off with the promo.
