video is always bi-directional (you don't have to stop your video to be shared), I wish audio was bi-directional too . It would give so much of local intercom capabilities . Anyone here knows that can do bi-directional as a hack ?

I have similar. They are fun little toys. As a toy on a cruise yes. But an actual communication device that you may be frantically trying to get signal, no.

I have a similar set and it works best with a clear line of sight, so unless it's just for your kids to play with, I doubt it would be of much use on a cruise ship
