Got a pair of these on the last deal posted. Like it overall except for it gets clogged up pretty fast with makeup gunk, and I have to pry it out and clean it every week.

Check the drain hole first: the listing covers 1.1 to 2.36 inches, and a drain outside that range will not seal no matter how it is fitted.

This brushed nickel sink stopper and strainer is mainly useful for catching hair and debris while still sealing the drain. It is easy to pull out and clean, and the removable basket makes maintenance simpler than fiddling with popup mechanisms. The main drawback is slow drainage, with water often pooling or leaving some water behind, and buildup can require frequent cleaning. Fit also depends on the drain opening size, since drains outside the listed range will not seal. A practical option if easy cleanup matters more than fast draining.

Does anyone have any experience on how this compares to the Sinkshoom? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W821...c_2_i?th=1Based on many of the reviews, the main complaint is that it results in a slow draining sink.
The sink shroom is not a drain stopper, only a strainer.

So I tried two two different brands of these sink stoppers before just getting a sink shroom. I realized I never actually used the stopper part.I keep trying sick stoppers after I dropped something down the sink--my sink stopper mechanism broke and I had to keep the stopper out of the sink since it would always fall closed. The click sink stoppers drain so slowly that water pools in the sink before draining. So when you brush teeth and spit, spit always floats on top, then when the water drains the spit settles in the sink and stays there.I think it's not the filter/hair catcher, since most are removable. Is the narrow gap between the stopper silicone and the bottom plate.I got the regular sink shroom and have been much happier.

Don't buy these as the water doesn't drain all the way. Some water will always stay on the surface.

Thank you for your experience with the sink stopper. I am attempting to cancel my order (or will just return it) as we are also happy with our sink shroom and agree that we probably wouldn't want a slow draining sink.

Has anyone tried this on a bathtub?

Edit: Nevermind, I do see one of the images explicitly says no baths
They do make them for tubs and it's great with my wife's long hair.

I don't know about the previous poster, but our drains get "clogged", in air quotes, when enough biofilm builds up on the walls and in the trap to slow the water flow, and it doesn't take much buildup at all. (Shaving water gets poured into the toilet.) I'm wondering if that is what is being referred to here - and if the problem could be relocated to an easily accessible strainer.I know one thing - I would really prefer to never have to fiddle around inside the cabinet with the popup stopper mechanisms ever again, and I've really considered trying to find rubber drain plugs with a chain.I'm not sure how much faith I should have in the finish on these.
Yes! Biofilm. I use it in my bathroom sink since my old stopper long broke off.

lol you goys ... please use common sense and read the product on it works. It's supposed to drain slowly to trap debris.
