I have Two of these. Love them. Work great especially if working outside and a screw falls into the grass or landscaping bark.

According to CCC, it looks like it's been the same $10 for quite some time...

I just got one a couple weeks ago because I'm ripping up planter boxes that have a million screws, nails, staples, etc. because the previous home owner was a psychopath. It works well (I also have a giant rolling one for when I'm done) while demoing because it can get into smaller more complex situations. What I don't like is the magnet is screwed into the housing so if you have a lot of small stuff or for some reason like me have a bunch of iron dust in your soil, it gets stuck to the hole in the center and around the edge of the magnet because it's not flush with the housing.

Can you silicone caulk the edges and center?
