That sounds like a terrific deal. When I looked last Friday, used Good was $1150 (new was $1800). Then it went on sale for $1500 over the weekend and the used Good price went up to $1264.

Was it for shipping, or only in-store? The closest open box available is 2.5hrs away from me. If I could get it for $970, maybe I'd consider driving the 5hrs, but I would probably need about that much savings to take the ride.

Hmm. Already have the Zenbook A16 enroute but grabbed this S16 deal too and will return one of them.

I initially wanted the S16 but the display model at BestBuy had a broken/non-responsive trackpad. Not sure if that's a common problem on the S16. The Scandinavian White looks a lot better, but no good deals on just the color.

The Windows-on-ARM A16 is really impressive and way lighter than the S16 too (2.65 vs 3.31 lbs), but of course costs more too.

I'd like the A16, almost a pound lighter, cooler and better battery life

the current model just became available in January, so that would have to be previous versions- at least as far as the 1 year reference. But, still good to know.

That was a cable defect fixed in 2026. Had 2024 24gb model traded in for 2026 model. Paid 970 for 2026 and it was in box and 40 minutes used.. Go figure..
