This LG UltraGear 45 inch OLED is praised as a strong gaming monitor, with office use described as acceptable and text still readable. The low pixel density stands out, especially if you sit close, and the 5k2k version is repeatedly framed as the better choice for sharper desktop use. The bigger concern is open box condition, since Fair units can be shelf or display models with heavy use and burn in, though some Fair pickups have only minor cosmetic damage. Checking the panel in store and leaning on the return or warranty window helps reduce the risk.
The monitor can work well for gaming while office use remains acceptable for everyday tasks.
The open-box unit can be checked in-store by powering it on before leaving the pickup location.
A 60-day return window and a four-year warranty can reduce the risk of ending up with a problematic OLED panel.
Open-box OLED units can show severe burn-in when they have thousands of hours from display use.
A 'fair' open-box OLED can be a shelf or display model with burn-in that Geek Squad may not test for.
The DPI can feel low at close viewing distances even though text may remain readable.
The current pricing can feel less like a deal compared with recent open-box purchases for the 5k2k version.

You are punishing your eyes if you plan to use it for anything else, because not only does this have a terrible OLED pixel layout it also has WAY too low of pixel density.
This is 83 ppi. For reference, a 27" 1440 display is 108 ppi. A 32" 4k is 138 ppi.
