Thanks for the heads-up; I got 2 three packs for $8. The OP's original deal is not bad either; thanks to them as well.

I've tried rechargeables in my Blink cameras but they last about 1/3 less. The rechargeables are good for high traffic areas though where you would spend a small fortune on conventional lithium AAs. But in such a case, you really want to have a wired/powered camera either way.

Blink cams excel in low traffic areas IMO like basements as they can be useful for monitoring sump pumps, water heaters, fuel levels on oil tanks etc. Blink cams also make an excellent backup cam in instances where you want to be absolutely sure you are getting alerts for intrusions/movement. It's best to power the Blink cams via USB when employing the "Double Up" strategy though to save money on batteries...

These are regular lithium AAs, right? What's special about them for Blink?
I'm assuming I could use them anywhere AAs are used

Yeah these are standard Energizer Ultimate AAs as it's not possible to make them exclusively compatible with Blink Cameras.

It's just that Blink always recommends Energizer as I'm inferring that they tested their cams with the brand and found that they gave the best/most reliable results or Energizer paid Blink to promote their brand. (Probably a combination of both)

Yes. Probably will last longer then the expiration beep on the unit itself.

Researched little more and found that lithium batteries are not recommended for Kiddie smoke detectors
