Hey Arj, (and anyone else who might know) I made brown rice a few days ago and it tasted okay but texture wise was a mess. The package said it needed to cook for 35-45 minutes I checked it at 30 minutes and it had no water but was still very hard so I added more water. The burner was almost off. what gives? Do I actually need a rice cooker? No problems cooking white rice.
there's a question about cooking rice, and the question wasn't directly specifically at me? Crazy

Kiwi is awesome!! Very very acidic, though. But sooooo good. drool Pomegranates are weird, but I like them in martinis. Cheers
Kiki is awesome for tendering meat at the last minute. If you need to tenderize tough meat like Tri-Tip real fast, pound kiwi to a puree and add it to your marinade... it'll make steak into tofu woot

Oooh sure I'd love it when you get the chance Smilie

One time I was cast in some health video for the different schools (You know that crap you watch in Health class, lol)...and I was the girl who was supposed to eat the apple and be all healthy and crap. Anyway I went to take the bite and the whole thing was rotten. All brown and mushy inside. And the guy shooting says "Lets do that again but look like you're enjoying it more." So I tried but didn't pull it off that well. Then I showed them the apple and he said "Well why didn't you tell us? That's looks disgusting." laugh out loud

My favorite fruit is probably the orange. Then pineapples. When we lived in Florida we had tons of orange trees in our yard (everyone did) and my dad and I would go out and pick like 50 and bring them inside and just eat as much as we wanted and then put the rest in the fridge.

I tried a Mango the other day. Or I guess a few weeks ago. I had never had one and thought it was like an apple where you bite into it like an apple. Apparently that's not the case. Skin wasn't bad though to be honest.

Have you ever had a kiwi? I saw some at Publix yesterday and thought about getting one but didn't. Same with Pomegranates.
I really like kiwi. I've never had a pomegranate, but I had mango. I don't really like it.

Taking a break from working on the cars as it's like 90* (feels hotter). I've got both full interiors out of both cars right now, and will start reassembling them after my break.

Shannon, here's the recipe she used: http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recip...65084.aspx

Grocery was crowded. It's hot out there! Hot enough that just about the time your car starts cooling off a little, you are where you were going.

Worked on it most of the afternoon. Got both carpets back in (not fully secured), and both sets of front seats IN the cars....but not bolted down yet, as it was almost 5 and I was exhausted (it's 90* here and no cloud cover today). I should be able to get it done tomorrow or Tuesday (depending on weather and how much time I can devote to it).
