Oh, it'll be a while. I've been running a desktop fan on the computer and that works fine, but it freezes my ass off so it's not a long term solution. I need something like the desk fan...but on the bottom. laugh out loud

that belkin thing doesn't look all that good IMO. still looks like it'd block a lot of the vents. as long as your fans are working, then get as much airspace as possible. if it still doesn't work, like vq said, they aren't working

My macbook has been running hot lately too. I blew out the fans, but I think there's a bigger problem going on. Just too lazy to drop it off to get it looked at.

laugh out loud I just love not having to deal with Windows PC's after fixing everyone elses. It's nice to just turn on my mac, hit safari and be on the internet without having to wait 20 minutes to load a damn OS.

I still like windows for building comps and stuff, but heart my macs OS.

I was an Apple hater when I got my first Ipod. It was from IPS, so I didn't care. But then my fiance got a killer deal on a Macbook and I didn't have a laptop. After learning how to use it ( it's so easy you feel dumb..lol) , I pretty much beat up that poor thing. I now have 2 more Macbooks, all 3 still running great. Except for the one I'm using right now, I've having a heating issue. But well see what happens with that.

I mean I heart my macs, but I'm not like OMG I need an Ipad right now....I enjoy them, but I don't rush out and buy a new mac everytime they come out with something..laugh out loud
And honestly I was impressed with the Win7 Build, so it's not like I am anti-windows like some think, I just don't care to use it anymore.Dontknow

my only issue with apple stuff. it goes from what'd youd expect a logical way to the easiest way possible. and they don't usually want to make manuals of how to do things. they think you should be able to figure it out.

ie i had all my mp3's on the h drive. had to merge it and it changed to f drive. coudln't tell itunes all my songs were now in this folder. the only easy solution was deleting everything and readding them.

I found that out the hard way. I reformatted my friends PC, and put all his music, docs, etc on an external...reinstalled everything, update windows, all programs, etc. Then put his stuff back on the comp. He gets it back, and 2 days later I was on the phone with him trying to get Itunes to read his whole music/video collection. It was a PITA. Annoyed

arj, I understand that he thinks it's funny and a big joke - but it's offensive and disrespectful to his wife. End of story. Happily married people do not go around saying they want to have sex with other people. They just don't. If he was a single guy with no attachments it wouldn't be a big deal. But he is, so it is.
