His excuse was he forgot he wore it yesterday. Which is funny, cause I remember telling him hands off. I KNEW this would happen.
I paid $20 for 3 hats, of which the one he ruined was one of the 3. It sucks for him that the only place I've found it is $20 + shipping.
I'm making cheesecake brownies for my boss' B-day.
Oh NM you don't have legs crap!

It's a black, gold, and blue version of this hat: Clicky For The Picture [imageg.net]
It's all black, with a blue underbill (if that's the term or at least makes sense) and blue and gold flames on the right side.
It's pretty fricking rare. I can't even find the thing on the company's website.

Wow, I finally found it. My dad will be buying me a new one, which runs almost 4x what I paid for it, BEFORE shipping costs.
Sucks for him I guess. Shouldn't take things you don't want to have to replace.

I'm not that old! The only people I'm older than are you and dzap and Paint - I'm younger than everyone else.

My thinking: don't take something you're told to keep your hands off of if you don't want to have to replace it. The fact it's the ONE HAT I own that's a limited print hat, that costs about $30 shipped isn't my fault.
I would be much more forgiving if I gave him permission. The fact I explicitly told him to keep his grubby hands off (well, in more colorful language) is reason enough that he should have to replace my now-ruined hat. Don't steal my hat. Don't steal my hat and then get paint all over it.
Why shouldn't he be responsible for replacing something he stole and destroyed?
