BTW I'm in Idaho Springs, Co at the All American Adventures rafting company so you should come visit...lol.

Yes I am doing shameless plugs for my sister's company
Haha, that'd be awesome! But I'm not sure that my toddler is old enough for such a trip... plus I should probably make certain he's a REALLY good swimmer first.

Well I hope it turns out he's okay! hug

Haha, we have a lot of those 60/40 bars around here. LMAO

I took organic chemistry three times, and dropped it three times. I got the same bitter, rotten instructor every time. The third time the course catalog showed the instructor was TBA but guess who showed up? I walked out the moment he walked in. It's not the subject matter I hated, it was seriously this individual. He was a former department head who lost his position due to alcoholism and took it out on every one of his students, year after year. I still think Analytic Chemistry was tougher than either Organic I or II.

Edit: I see you got an offer of help. There's nothing better than talking with someone who really understands it. (and I'm *not* that person, sadly.)
Well I hope that doesn't happen to me. Bigeye Here the same instructor teaches the organic chem I and II classes.

I really haven't had a problem with chem I and II and biology I and II, so I'm hoping it won't be too much harder. Though I might to need to actually open my textbook once in a while this time. laugh out loud

No surprise there. You think I'd allow just anyone to help dig up my ex-wives remains?
Well, I'm not studying forensic science, so I probably wouldn't be a good choice to be digging up remains. laugh out loud

Sorry, I don't find CSI quite as fascinating as the rest of the world. Hide

I thought Organic Chem was fun and enjoyed it immensely.

You're right though. Any course where the instructor is an issue is no fun at all.
Did you? We've dabbled into some of the basics in biology class, and when studying DNA structure and replication. But just the idea of having to remember the molecular structure of 20 different amino acids and things like that, it just sounds tedious to me. laugh out loud

Through my bio classes, we'd be studying something related, and the professor would say something like "if you go on to organic chemistry, you'll have to know this and this" and I'm like... Facepalm

I'm more excited for my advanced bio classes I get to take over the next couple years. Woot

I don't either. I am more the Dexter type although I've never watched that show either.

It just seemed more sciencey to me than many of the other courses in similar disciplines. It probably doesn't hurt that I enjoy many things science and found the subject matter interest.

As for the memory commitment level, it can be up there with Organic. But when I was young I always found I learned a great deal more and learned it more thoroughly by understanding rather than straight memorization.

The bear ate him?

From the picture I thought the bear was doing something else to him entirely.

i was like that in math analysis. he's the type who gives tests with averages in the anywhere from 10-40 out of 100 just cause he can. i made it through calc with him because i took it in high school and after work with the ta i figured out how to translate it from what he was teaching to what i already knew. analysis i had no idea wtf he was talking about, but managed to show enough understanding to get a b. dropped a couple times because he was just awful.

my chem teachers in high school took the cake. one was a brit who tried cleaning up a fire with paper towels right as the people who accredit schools walked in. the other electrocuted himself with a pickle Roll
