Ref, you're usually not one to make stupid statements, but this is one of the times you do.

FSU has one of the Top 5 programs for my major in the US, and is the best in the Southeast. It's behind Penn State and Oklahoma, but aside from that it's a top-notch school.

And FSU is overall ranked #53 worldwide (according to the 2009 Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, of course).

mine is about a mile up the road but I have a taco bell, mcdonalds and waffle house within 2 blocks Whee

TB, McD's, and WF are not even in the same league with Chick-Fil-A. Arby's (at least here, anyway) is my next favorite place after Chick-Fil-A.

I wouldn't call my statement "stupid". Florida State was for many years considered a party school with very little in the way of academics. It may have changed recently. That I don't know.

It certain isn't a top tier level school.

I've never heard of Webometric rankings, but that could just be because I'm old.

I thought the standard was US News and World Report [rankingsandreviews.com] but perhaps that's changed.
