What are the symptoms of strep?
Nessy Im sorry your DD is sick! Hope she feels better!
One time my daughter, myself and DH got a really bad stomach bug. DD showed the symptoms first which started as her violently puking at 3 am every 5-10 min till 8 am. It was so scary! I held her all night, she was so scared and would choke on her vomit.
Never want to get that again. Having to puke every 10 minutes, plus taking care of a sick baby and trying to keep up with a healthy toddler made for a horrible day.
What are the symptoms of strep?
Severe and sudden sore throat without coughing, sneezing, or other cold symptoms.
Pain or difficulty with swallowing.
Fever over 101F. Lower fevers may indicate a viral infection and not strep.
Swollen lymph nodes in the neck.
White or yellow spots or coating on the throat and tonsils .
Bright red throat or dark red spots on the roof of the mouth at the back near the throat.
Swollen tonsils, although this symptom may also be caused by a viral infection.
It would look like this:
or this:
I would get strep all the time when I was little. When you get it severe, they swell so much that it closes your throat and you can't breathe. This happened to me and I had to have an emergency tonsilectomy.
