I could tell from the quality of the end product that probably wasn't the case NotIT!
So I'll assuming you're doing something closer to these lines [adobe.com].
I do play with contrast, levels, curves, and gradient maps when I do my b&w, and sometimes I do use some of the things mentioned in that tutorial. I have CS5 and love it! It really makes processing a little easier than previous versions of Photoshop.

Okay, now I seriously have to go. My aunt finally came back. Time for blood work.
I didn't post any pics...I posted PC's pic. What's crack-a-lackin?

Frog...I like that...well not small on a screen but if it was blown up fairly large I think the lines would look amazing
