Nothing new unfortunately. DW is wanting to move now. This is the third pet we have lost while in this house.

Heading off to bed. Night all.

Autumn - I dreamed I totally one-upped you last night. Paul McCartney showed up at my house and needed computer help. Roll He was kind of distracted, though. Dontknow Wouldn't give me his email address. Kind of rude. laugh out loud
laugh out loud That's too funny. What you didn't see was me hiding in your closet rocking back and forth changing "Love love me do. Love love me do."

Hi, all. Funeral was today. We went there, the cemetery, then to O'Charley's with a couple of Robert's bosses and co-workers. The guy's cousin was a cop and he knew several cops, so they were at every intersection on the way to the cemetery, saluting. It was touching. A few cars didn't pull over for the procession, which I found rude. My daddy would kick my butt if I didn't pull over for a funeral.

That's very cool how they saluted him. I don't get why people just ignore funeral processions. When I was in my uncles someone pulled into it and a cop pulled him over. (I don't know if it was one of the cops in the procession or one that happened to be driving by.) I'm glad the funeral is over. How is Robert doing?

He's doing better today, believe it or not. I guess it helped attending the funeral...like he's coming to terms with it. He's going golfing tomorrow with a couple of the guys from work. Grief, you know. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I wonder if some people don't know or understand that this is proper. Like young people, maybe? I'm not excusing it at all. Shit, some people here don't stop when buses stop and those have huge red stop signs flashing on the sides. laugh out loud Some people aren't that bright.

I think it's good that he's going out and getting back into something that's normal for him.

I don't mind him going, it just irked me because we were supposed to go school shopping for the kids tomorrow, but one of his friends he wants to go with works on the off days that he doesn't work. Since Robert was supposed to work tomorrow, but took off, his friend is off too. So, what can I say to that? We'll go shopping Friday.

Good hug

I think funerals are always these daunting things and when it's over that's not looming in the future anymore. Like when I've gone up with Patrick to his grandparents and other people's funerals everyone was crying and so sad for the days before the funeral and as soon as it's over it's almost like a cloud has lifted. It might be different for the people who are most involved (spouse/parents/kid/etc). I'm sure tonight is a very sad night for his wife and kid(s?).

I'm sure. I hope that they have family with them tonight. His little girls (ages 6 and 2) sent balloon bouquets into the air at the cemetery. I thought that was sweet.

Aww that is sweet.

A lady in our neighborhood was some missionary in Africa. She was there helping women who had lost their husbands. Anyway one day when she was down there we heard a ton of sirens go by the front of the neighborhood. Her husband had been in a crash. Some lady cut him off and his car burst into flames and he passed away. They had to call her while she was in Africa helping those other women and tell her her own husband had passed away. They have two young kids too. One of them was in Elizabeth's class. For weeks when I drove by her house there were so many cars there with family and friends that they had to park in the grass. I was really glad she had so many people there helping her. Can't even imagine what that must have been like.
