Oh, no - not the thread or the folks in it. I agree, that would require months or even years. It's just the concept of "jam out with your clam out". I guarantee you her immediate response would be "What? We don't have any clams, and we never eat clams."
LMAO

Gotta love the innocent...

The software itself is very easy, the only issue you might run into is a networking problem.
Would only take a few minutes to download/install (free), and if everything works, you'll see it show up on your XMB under Video.
Really?! That sounds awesome! I actually got hubby a 500GB portable HD for Christmas. I'll ask him about it, see what he knows.

I know he downloaded like two seasons of true blood, but he put them onto 12 discs. laugh out loud

Streaming isn't difficult to do but you'd have to rip them to a computer/media server and store them there first.
Sounds like she's already ripping them, so that shouldn't be a problem. I actually still use DVDShrink for most of my stuff.

That sounds nothing like me! One, I don't type in all caps. Two, I don't misspell things, and three, I sure as hell don't use a "U" for the word "you." Harhar

Nice try, geezer!

To go full geek on you Glasses2 if it doesn't show up right away, your router should have a UPnP setting you can turn on to make it work.

My grandma is your age, a bit older I think even, and she has use for one. So you can't use age as an excuse! Harhar

Oh I don't doubt that. But it's bearable.

Somehow we as humans survived without air-conditioning before it was invented. I think you could survive a few hours at work without it. Stick Out Tongue

That's a popular option these days. Sort of a dumbed down hard-driveless thin client.

I like the fact that it works with flash drives too as well as standard USB drives!

Even though I'd never get one for myself.

Okay, I didn't understand that, but I will write it down! Grin

If you get some time later, would you be ever so kind as to let me pick your brain for a minute? Please

Yeah, and people only lived into their forties at that point - coincidence? I think not. Wink2

We stream everything to our 360.

We don't really download movies to stream (We just use netflix instead on the xbox)

Being able to stream Yo Gabba Gabba and Chuggington for the kiddos is awesome though. Oh and I heart Netflix for the large variety of Thomas the Train movies they have for DS.

A few weeks ago the AC here had been out all weekend, and they got it turned on Monday morning, but the call center agents whined enough to get casual dress out of it for the whole week.
I didn't bother participating since that doesn't include shorts.
