Of course their official diagnosis for what ails me is that I'm "absolutely farking NUTS!". So I'm not holding out for a pill that will help with that!

On the subject of Doctors, I can't stand when they don't want to try other methods that may help. I was diagnosed with idiopathic nueropathy a few years ago and symptoms are treated with seizure and nerve related meds. I now get major migraines in which I have tried several meds that stopped working/didn't work/or had severe side effects. I went to my neurologist in early July and let her know about current issues so she ordered yet another MRI which I had friday. I can not take the daily meds that "prevent" migraines but the current drug I have seems to work better than the others for onset. Now mine last 4 days so they basically rebound. I told her I found a pain specailist (MD) that would be doing Botox injections in my scalp at the end of July....she was upset with that....says "That is not conventional treatment". I basically told her that I needed to try it....get off at least 1 med. They are basically poison. At least the Botox is sterile. So I had the Botox and I have only had 1 migraine where I had to take a pill that day and felt it a little the next morning....took another and that's it. It was so mild and only felt it inside behind my eye when usually the whole side of my scalp is spasming like crazy. So it works....whether or not my nuero agrees is her problem.
