I really hope that I can still use the C9 coupon legitimately. I need to stock up on sports bras for my daughter to play college soccer. I HATE beeping coupons though, so I probably won't use it. Ugh.

Ank, I tried repping your post in deals, but it wouldn't let me. I couldn't agree more.

I find I can't get in to Black Friday since I really started SlickDealing. The prices are average at best, and everyone is all over them like they are getting a great deal. I still go with long time friends, but spend more energy laughing over everyone thinking they are getting such a deal than fighting for the deals.

And I can't even enter the thread around that time. Nightmares for sure.

Well, I think that if the newbieish folks in deals would just shut up sometimes, we could all get along and shop quite happily. But because they have to publicly brag and be total idiots about what stupid and illegitimate things they did, they ruin even the legitimate deals.
.
This. I can't figure out why people feel the need to boast of their stupidity.

DS is out of surgery and in his room. They just gave him some morphine and he is sleeping, but oh boy was he ever agitated before the meds. Usually, with brain surgery, no pain meds, but they opened him in 4 places so the doc said he would need it. I'm so glad because he is in alot of pain around his lung. They opened his head, neck, chest and abdomen. He looks like he has been to war. His head is wrapped, bandages everywhere. I don't feel good. I can hardly breath the pain is so bad. I thought I pulled a muscle but now I;m thinking it may be something with my chest/lungs. It hurts so bad to breath. I'm glad DS is sleeping because I just didn't have the energy to pull and tug on him. His dad took a shift so I could come home and take a break.

Ever just feel like crying, but you don't because you won't allow yourself to?

Unless they decide to cancel the coupon (which I suppose they could - they've done it in the past), it may just be an issue of the cashier having to verify you have the item and then K1 it. Depending on your cashier - that may be an easy thing, or a pain in the rear.

I think I may try one tomorrow to see. If it goes through, DH gets his shorts. If not, I leave it there and I'm only out some time.

Ugh... it's a pain in the neck.

It's my fault... I compared the thread craziness to what we see come up around BF/Christmas.

I can't figure that out either.

Glad to hear your son came through the surgery. I hope he recovers quickly and doesn't have too much pain. Could your pain be stress induced - especially if you are holding in the crying??

And yes, I've felt like that before. hug You've got a lot on your plate and I'm sure it's wearing you out.

Mace - thanks... I think I should probably stay out of there though - I'm already commenting way more than I intended. *laugh* I hate getting into the drama - it's certainly been in our faces though.

I think I'm bored right now, so that's dangerous. I think I'm also having contractions - which are mildly painful. Not real ones though - prolly braxton hicks. I seem to be getting them more at night time. *shrug*

Dinner was great tonight. We did some asian greens that I can't remember the name of, gr. & red peppers, chives, green onions, and chicken in the wok. Then I "barked out directions" to make a sauce that turned out super fabulous! (dh and dd did all the cutting/cooking). The sauce had olive oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, coconut vinegar, lime juice, and cilantro in it. Oh - and a couple packets of splenda. It was so yummy yummy yummy!

No. I think it's the opposite. I think I feel like crying because I feel so bad, and dealing with DS so sick is draining.

I woke up in alot of pain across my back and chest this morning. I thought maybe I'd slept in a funny position or something and it's just been hurting all day. Its getting worse though and it hurts to breath. I can only do shallow breaths. Feels like a knife stabbing me when I breath. I'll get it checked in the morning if it's not better.

The surgeon said if this doesn't work he is sending him to the University to see a surgeon who does some kind of procedure that makes the shunt not needed. I forget what he called it, it was a looooong name, but it sounded dangerous and frightening. Something to do with cutting brain tissue. I kinda blocked it all out after that. I wish I could take it from him. I really do hate to see him like this.

Teri - will be praying for you. Are you sure you aren't possibly having heart issues?? It may not be, but I wouldn't take any chances! Definitely get checked out ASAP.

The name of the surgery is Endoscopic Third Ventriculostomy. I just googled and read up on it a little and it doesn't sound so bad I guess. Not any worse than what he's been going through since April.

teri, I will be thinking about you and your son. I am late to post and didn't have time to read up so I just wanted to send big hugs and prayers.

Sucks about c9, merona, and fiber. Guess target got tired of bending over and taking it up the tailpipe.

Went to the riverwalk and had a tad too much to drink last night. Whew!

Still going strong here in the STFC dept in San Antone!

Teri - Sorry to hear about all the problems your son has been having with the shunt.. Praying everything works better this time and he gets some relief with his meds. Maybe you will feel better when you get some sleep.. Ask them to slip you a little of his Morphine next timeWink I am sure you are physically and emotionally drained. I am with Ank though, if it doesn't get better, definitely get it checked out.hug

Ank- Maybe all those contractions will help get your body ready for an easy deliveryBig Grin Your dinner sounds yummy by the way. Your dishes always sound so interesting and full of different spices and stuff. What I make is so boring in comparison. I am not one to use interesting ingredients.. Kinda plain and simple. I had gotten a big steak when Target marked down one day and threw it into the crock pot and cooked it all day. When it was falling apart tonight, I added beef gravy and served it over rice, along with green beans, salad and biscuits.. It was a quick and cheap meal.. I am trying to use up so much food that I have in the freezer and buried in the back of the pantry before I hit the grocery store again.

Finally made it back to Target tonight.. I knew I should have gotten in on the C9 deal earlier in the week.. Darn coupon beeped on everything. Cashier was very reluctant, but FINALLY K1'd the few I had. I won't be using them that much if they are gonna beep everytime. Maybe one here and there.. Stupid Target just needs to learn to code them correctly like the other C9 hangtag coupons. I found alot of cute things for my DD. Want to atleast grab a few more socks with the coupon. Problem is, I know how myTarget is and if it beeps they will find a reason to claim that it isn't working.. either they will say, it doesn't work on socks, or doesn't work on clearance, etc. This one will be a pain for sure.. Why did people ruin this coupon so soon.

Did get a few more boxes of cereal and enough overage to get a few groceries. The fiber TQ worked fine for me... and the colgate TQ works wonderfully. I am picking up the cheapie toothbrushes for someone at church who is trying to help a needy family.. I am gonna give them a ton of cereal too.. Mostly the fiber kind.. although, my kids are eating the fiber stuff up and deny issues so farlook around

Oh well, gonna try to read the deals thread and get a few things done around here..
