Anything that helps is just fine by me, and I'm sure everyone else here wishes we could do more than just listen and pray. I can't imagine how awful this is for everyone in your family but I know that Mamas do get it the worst. Its your baby and you can't make the pain go away. The helplessness can drive you insane. If venting makes that better, post pages and pages if you'd like.

Hopefully someday soon you will have something wonderful to post that we can all celebrate together.
Thanks mjj. This has been one heck of a year. It's been one thing after another, I feel like I'm being punished for something. Maybe it's my shopping preferences laugh out loud After this year, I know I can handle anything though, but I'm really ready for just a boring routine.

But, hopefully they learned, albeit it the hard way, how to coupon more wisely. Personally, I think they still believe what they did was A-ok and will continue on until Target has a bullseye plastered on MEB's ass.
.
One would hope but I doubt it. There are two kinds of couponers. Those who get it and those who dont. My sister doesn't coupon but the few times she did, she would go in the store and get as many of the item as she could in one trip. She saw nothing wrong with that, and I made sure to go to a register at the other end away from her laugh out loud

They are doing the ventriculostomy.. We wont know if it works for a couple of days. They really couldn't give us a percentage of successful surgeries because they said not enough studies have been done.

I HATE HATE this. DD crying, DXH crying, Grandma crying. I just want it to be over. Feels like so many years ago when he was a baby and we didn't know from one minute to the next how long we would have him with us. Sorry if this is depressing. Guess I'm kinda using SD as a blog or something. I just have to stay strong for him and for DD (and everyone else it would seem). I need to vent. So I'm venting here. I'm afraid for him.
I'm praying for you and your ds, and the Dr that is caring for him that his hands and gifts are blessed. and guided. Pray

A big hi from coffee klatch :wave
If you need to vent here ..just do it as it is for OT.... Comfort.

Teri - my thoughts and prayers are with you and your ds tonight!!!! It is no wonder that your body is in pain and suffering as you are enduring watching your child go through all of this! I am so so so sorry!!!! I will keep sending PT & Prayers your way!!!! May they do something to help him QUICKLY!!! (Oh and btw my lil guy had to ride in one of those medical helicopters when he was little and amazingly even with all the meds to sedate him still remembers being in a helicopter ... so maybe on some level your ds *might* remember.) HUGS HUGS HUGS I keep thinking of you & all you have gone through in the last year ... I do hope the doc can help you feel better ... and I hope your ds can feel better too! hug hug Pray Oh and vent away - we love you & are here for you! I wish I could do more!!!!! Maybe make someone bring you a decent roll of TP Wink LOL I LOVE your pics in your link ... super cute family!!!!

Laina - I can 'hear' exactly what you were feeling through your words - and although I have never walked in your shoes I can only imagine that I would feel the same way ... there is something awful about loved ones/children suffering and not being able to help them!!!!!!!!!! You are a truly wonderful lady - HUGS HUGS HUGS your way!!!

Nik - I am so sorry LilB is sick! I am sorry that you are not able to be there for your Aunt & family - - - this is such a tragedy when a loved one takes his/her life ... I don't think they honestly understand the hole they leave ... I am sorry and my thoughts and prayers are with you as well!!!

I still have not had time to shop - and won't tomorrow either ... maybe Sunday Smilie

Tomorrow my lil Miss M goes in for surgery on her teeth - it is so minor compared to what Teri's poor son is enduring ... I am just a little nervous for her to be knocked out when she is so little. I know that she will be fine and when it is all over she will feel much better .... just not looking forward to them sedating her.

Maybe I should take my computer so while I am waiting when she is in surgery I can chat ... I have no idea if a computer would work there??? LOL

Hope all of you get a chance to shop & have GREAT trips --- with no more fall out from those coupon users who do so very bady!

Dreemz - I have a number of them - PM me your addy and I will mail them to you! HUGS

Yeah... I guess it's a lot of ignorance. I just wish folks wouldn't get so mad or pick fights when T enforces limits. Just learn to do your thing a little wiser! And ya'll are right - if there were problems or issues with what's posted, PM's are the best way to go. Even I get caught up in the drama sometimes... Hide

Somewhat TCC on-topic posting...

My toddler DD has now taken to having to put her favorite animals on the potty before bed. This is very funny as she holds them over the toilet and stands there going "pee... pee... pee..." She tells them, "You went potty!!! I so proud of you!!" and then proceeds to wipe them with a square to tp and proclaims "all done".

And have you ever noticed something weird. I mean, like weird that it fascinates you weird, but probably shouldn't?? lol

Anyway, I was washing my hands and noticed that someone didn't rinse the sink down after spitting (usually one of my huge pet peeves), but the shape of the spit resembled a duck and it kind of fascinated me to the point that I didn't get irritated as I normally may have been... just kind of found myself contemplating the spit for a few extra secs...

Yeah... I'm getting weird in my old age. *sigh*

Dia hug Hope everything goes well for DD tomorrow. It's so scarey when your little ones are sedated. I've never gotten used to it. I'll be thinking of her and you. Wish I had some good advice for you, but the best I can say is yes, you will worry and gain a few gray hairs, but you will get through it, and your DD is fortunate to have a mommy that cares so much hug

The LifeLink isn't a helicopter. He would really be upset if he was in the helicopter and didn't remember laugh out loud The Life Link is a super charged ambulance, like a hospital on wheels. They use it for ememrgency transport from one hospital to another.

Thanks for the thoughts Teri! I do appreciate it --- like i said I know it is nothing compared to what you are going thru ... but I will still worry until it is all over! LOL You know how that goes!

Sorry about the Lifelink --- I thought that was the helicopter ... but now that I think of it that must be called Medflight. I think? I just remember when they took him by ambulance to the helicopter (I wasn't allowed to accompany him as the helicopter is not designed to take people other than staff & patients) they said "Oh he won't remember this as he will be sedated" ... and they did sedate him ... but he remembers bit & pieces of it LOL I think that was his favorite part of that day!

HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS HUGS to you and yours!!!!!!! I will be thinking of you!!!!!!!!

take a picture of that and sell it on ebay, you'll be a millionaire!! Whee

Doc just came in. It's totally strange not meeting a surgeon until AFTER he has operated on your child. Anyway, he was very nice and he said all went well. Joel is in recovery and will be back up here in his room in the next hour, hopefully. He said we will know within a few weeks if this prodcedure is going to work long term, but that if it does, he will probably not ever need another operation. That.would.be.awesome. This has been a long night, and I'm not going anywhere. It would take a crane to get me out of his room tonight laugh out loud

I can imagine that you aren't willing to leave him for a minute...hopefully you will get some rest as I'm sure you need it with all the emotional upset on top of your bronchtis (which I've had) and is exhausting in itself. Take care of YOU:flowers2 hope you feel better.

DH decided that for his 3 days off in a row we would drive down to the beach and hit the Aquarium and see the ocean for the first time this year. It was nice. We left in the morning and came back at 10pm. We got a 'membership' to the aquarium - because it was only $10 more than admission for our family and it offers unlimited visits to all 3 of the NC aquariums for a whole year plus 150+ other zoos/aquariums/museums all offer free admission also AND the whole $50 cost is tax deductable. The kids pet a horseshoe crab and a starfish and we saw a baby sea turtle that was the same age as baby Emmilyne.

The cutest thing was when we were looking into the shark tank, DS#2 age 7 says to me..."Momma, Momma look I saw a shark that has a head that looks like a hammer. Look Momma! there it is, see like a hammer."
Sounds like a wonderful; day. We got to pet starfish and crabs at Seaworld last year, but no baby turtles, how cute.

You are so right! I have a friend who is just getting into couponing and she is the same way except she has had some problems, like trying to buy 40 Sobe at once, she is starting to get it though.

TY! hug I am hoping I will get to shop tomorrow but we shall see. With my luck lately probably not.

You should take your computer, I am pretty sure it will work. My DD had her first surgery when she had tubes put in her ears and while DH and I were really worried/scared she didn't ever seem to worried at all. The Dr came out right when he was done and let us know everyting went well. We went in right when she was waking up and she seemed pretty ok but tired. Once we had her home she ate and took a long nap and later that evening was playing like nothing had ever happend. She will do great and so will you. Will keep you both Pray :hug :

To cute! And Cold about the exam, those are my least favorite of all.

love2beeamom- TY, lilB is doing better his fever seems to have gone away finally. Hopefully tomorrow he will be back to himself. We rarely get to movies so I don't know. Our neighbor lent us "the stranger" or something but it sounds scary. Hide

Oh as I was making my chicken chili I look out the window and see smoke pouring out of the house down the street!!! I saw it and came running out as my other neighbors saw it too and they were already calling 911 and running down there. There was a pregnant lady inside who had been cooking beans but didn't realize her kitchen was on fire as she was in another room watching TV apparently. She thought the smoke was from the neighbor grilling. She didn't speak english very well but the neighbor who called 911 is from mexico so he could understand her and she was histerical trying to run back inside to get pictures of her kids who are still living in mexico. We thought she was saying her kids were inside at first OMG

What a crazy night! 6 fire trucks and a dozen cops blocked off the street. They got the fire out before it did to much damage to the upstairs apartment but half of the downstairs is totally black and ruined the other half wet and ruined and it all stinks. lilB sure loved all the trucks and ambulances that showed up. DH just got back from helping them get their stuff that wasn;t ruined out and he smells awefull, he ate my chicken chili in 2 secs, I don't event think he tasted it and now he is passed out on the couch.

Speaking of miss M you need some sleep you have a long day tomorrow. hug

We got sick of waiting for the landlord to fix the swamp cooler so DH took the hose with sprinkler on the end, climed up on the roof, and stuck it to the swamp cooler so while it is still pretty warm (about 80) during the hot part of the day it is not unbearable. Hey it kinda works better than I thought and while it looks totally redneck it's on the back of the house so no one can see it. I was going to mention it to the landlord tonight when I saw him at the house fire but he had his hands full and his wife had come out with him. He owns all but two of the houses on our street and most of the houses on the two other streets by us. I used to worry about the water running off our roof everyday as that hose thing leaked last year and there are hard water stains on the shingles but if he is not worried about it I don;t care either, he ought to fix it!

I am afraid something is in the air. I hope we can return to our regularly scheduled not much going on programing soon.
