I still can't believe what just happened to me at T. I stopped by a T to get some soy milk and to check out C9 items this morning. I hadn't used a C9 coupon or Merona TQ whatsoever since the TQs came out and I wanted to check out the items. I was lucky enough to find a few marked-down C9 work-out clothes for myself. I also found two Merona handbags for the two refugee families that I have been helping out on.

I strolled down the toy aisle and surprised to see a huge mark-down team working there. I happened to stand right in front of 2 Tag Junior systems that were marked down to $8.84 (from $3x.xx). I was very excited because the parents of the two refugee families don't speak any English. I thought it would be great to buy the system to help the kids (2 yr, 5 yr, 10-month) of the 2 families learn English. I picked up one and put it in my cart. When I was about to pick up the other one, this woman snatched it off literally one second before my hand touched the package. I looked at her and said "Ma'am, I was just about to take that one." She said "But you didn't." I said "I was going to until you snatched it off." She said "It's right there and you did not grab it." She had her kid with her. I looked at her daughter and simply told the mother to keep it. If that's how she wants to be her daughter's role model, so be it.

I went on to grab a few more toys. When I was done with the toy aisles, I decided to go back to the Leapfrog section to check out the books. I made a huge mistake. I left my cart in the middle of the next aisle, instead of strolling it with me. By the time when I came back, my cart was GONE. I looked up and down every single aisle but couldn't find it. I got a few mark-dowon team members to help me. A few minutes later, I saw a team member with my C9 clothes and handbags walking to the clothes section. I stopped him and told him those were my items.

Someone grabbed all my toys. Took out all my C9 clothes and hangtags and threw them on the ground (a team member found them and picked them up). Tossed my 5 recycle bags that I have used for 5 years on one of the shelves in a toy aisle. As for my cart, it was gone.

I know it's my fault not to take my cart with me but I was only gone for less than a minute!!!!

At library. The scale was so nice! Ordered some pizza for dinner. Eat some and then to the gym. Who knew that pizza helps people lose weight.

I lost another 2.2 pounds.

Happy happy. Also bought the laptop last night. Too tired to take it out of the box. So I will do that after I get home. See you all around.

Theoretically, if the airbags didn't deploy, and she wasn't in the seat at the time, it doesn't have to be replaced. If there was no damage to either car, chances of the carseat having any structural issues as a result of a very minor fender bender are very minute.

She was in the seat. My car has no damage and the other car just had a small "hole" in the bumper.
The airbags didn't deploy though.

This is what the NHTSA states

Minor crashes are those that meet ALL of the following criteria:

*The vehicle was able to be driven away from the crash site;
*The vehicle door nearest the safety seat was undamaged;
*There were no injuries to any of the vehicle occupants;
*The air bags (if present) did not deploy; AND
*There is no visible damage to the safety seat

under these conditions, seat doesn't need to be replaced. I would check with the seat manufacturer, most state to replace after ANY accident.

http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=9575

eta I'm kind of the opinion that the car seat manufacturer wants to sell another seat so of course they will recommend replacement. Personally, for 5 mph I wouldn't replace the seat.

Hit T for the toy clearance today, I was the stalker behind the markdown team until............I hear a familiar scream from 2 aisles over and my middle daughter (8) yelling "He hurt his hand!!"

I leave my cart and go running to find my son (2) bleeding and crying with my DD crying and I pick up his hand to see what happened (by this time several T employees are surrounding us as they were back in toys already) and the tip of his finger was GONE. Weeping I don't even have to tell you mamas how I felt. I asked them to please call and ambulance, applied pressure, picked him up and went back to where DD said she & he were and found the piece of the finger.

Thank God it was mostly skin but it looks like a LOT when it's on a tiny little finger like his. It was behind the finger nail and about the size of 3/4 of the "pad" part of his left ring finger. They irrigated it and wrapped it w/Neosporin and gauze and said it would eventually fill back in. I held it together until after dh got there (we were 45 min from home) and DS rode home from the ER with him and then and only then did I cry.

My oldest DD (10) was just watching him but asked me if she could look at the books and switched with middle DD. They were just looking at the bikes, she said and DS crawled up in there and before she could even get him out, he was screaming. None of us have any idea what happened but I am assuming he put his hand in the chain/sprocket area and turned the pedal? That's right where I found the finger piece so I can only assume. It was a a "freestyle" bike which was right next to the little kid bikes (which have chain guards). I had no idea that could happen so be careful, mamas.

Anyone been using the clorox coupon- "buy clorox, get bleach free"? Used it today and the red screen popped up- "This coupon is not valid. Please contact the manufacturer." Never seen this before. And even though the message came up- the price was deducted. Wasn't a barcode issue, I covered the other side for her. Happened with all 3 I tried. Confused
My store allows expired tq until they beep. Noticed they (ziploc, huggies) are beeping a lot sooner than usual.
This happened to me also, I was all Confused asked her to try it again cause maybe she got the wrong barcode - smae thing happened I took it back....Upon further inspection of my reciept it deducted and went to the bottom then on the second scan deducted at the bleach?

1st OMG!
2nd hug
3rd vomit I hate when babies get hurt, makes me feel so unsteady.

DH and I were just talking about the time he broke my then 4 y/o DS#1's arm - both forearm bones at a 45 degree angle -- Wasn't really DH, ds was actually just stepping off his training wheeled bike and feel sideways and crunch. DH carried both DS and his little bike the 5 blocks back home to get me. Where I then had to swallow my vomit upon seeing my mangled baby.

Will his fingerprint come back?

I am just pray that there are still some toys after work.

Thanks for the good attitude about having to work and wait. I know some others in the deals thread were going on about ppl S&G'ing Huh during the toy sale while they had to work....c'mon peeps, it's clearance stuff, and it's the toy clearance to boot. Historically, people do walk out with cartloads. It stinks having to work - definitely had to do that up until this year! But we work sooooo hard for me to be able to stay home, it is hardly easy! OK, off of my Soap Box

I know the most current info. says you don't have to replace it and in this case I definitely would not *unless* I found something super duper cheap, target-clearance-cheap Wink but that wouldn't keep me from worrying about there being some sort of detrimental internal damage to the seat or something....but I worry about that kind of stufflaugh out loud We recently had a situation where my mom's car was parked in the street and was struck by some sort of commercial truck that was backing out - enough so that the trailer hitch put a hole in the side of the car Facepalm Not a ton of damage to the car other than that, but she requested that my dd's child seat be replaced by the other insurance company and they said they automatically do that for any accident no matter what Dontknow

Rachel, hope your little one is feeling better tonight hug How scary that must have been.

Not to make light of your story, but your finger story reminded me of the time my friend was cooking dinner (soup) and while chopping veggies, she included her finger. She called me frantic, her husband was taking her to the ER to get it stitched up (she couldn't find the finger part). Anyway, she asked me to come over and watch the kids for her. So, I did. I cleaned up in the kitchen and finished the soup (minus the veggies that she was cutting at the time). I never found the finger either. The kids asked me where the finger went. I told them "in the soup", we're having "finger soup". My friend got home from the ER and I went along my way. Not long after I got home, the phone was ringing, she had put dinner on the table and the kids refused to touch it. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Before you think I am too horrible, we used to pull gags on each other all the time and I just couldn't resist, and the kids managed to grow up unaffected in spite of me Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

My store went 75% yesterday. Of course it did because I went to another store yesterday Annoyed Still quite a bit left today, hopefully not just the stuff nobody wanted, but I was able to get all my Christmas shopping done for the neices, nephews, cousins, etc. Even picked up a few baby toys for the grandbaby to be. I got some Thomas, I think matchbox farm thingy, disney tea set and disney baby snow white, some cute little phone thingy, lots of stuff. I love spoiling the kids at Christmas Whee

Faint I'm so sorry! What a horrifying time that must have been. I hope your little one is snuggled in your arms and healing quickly. Comfort

I made a run to Kroger today - well, 2 actually. Did well. I didn't get to T, but I figure if I go first thing tomorrow, then I should have no excuse. I am not even going to check toy aisles. Frown No $$ to spend on 'em and no overage to use. *sigh*

I'm tired and just relaxing, sort of... My dumb legs are doing that jumpy thing again.

I found a tearpad at Kroger for "save $2 on any reach toothbrush." I'm thinking I should've grabbed more, but I got about 5. I may have to swing by after a T run tomorrow.

Tracy, did you get my envie today? I hope so!

short story..

My attic is filled almost to the brim with toys we are donating to Foster kids at christmas. I went to three stores this morning looking for toys to be 75% off but found nothing. I was so disappointed but figured I'd try again in the AM.

Went to one last store before getting dinner and HOOOOLY MOOOLY! They were 75% off!!

Two carts later and I had the hook up. Going back in the AM for more. I am so so so excited and I cannot WAIT to share these with the foster kiddos.

Still no envie from you yet!!! Hopefully it will come tomorrow. I did get SOME of my ebay coupons though, so I am a pretty happy girl bounce
I only made it to one store today, but the toys were 75% too!!!!
