Well.. ya know... at some point in the pregnancy that becomes a permanent fixture on your to-do list... I'm at that point for sure - especially now that I"m "officially" 37 weeks!!
:bounce 37 weeks already.. won't be long til we should be seeing some pics of little Mavisnod Can't wait to see how beautiful she is..

You seem to have so much more energy than I ever did at that point. My list at this point was usually.. eat, drink, pee and rest with my swollen feet up.. shopping was no where on that listWink And for the not sleeping.. I had a heck of a time sleeping the last month or two.. aches, pains, bladder, hormones, etc..

I think of you and your kroger trips every time I pass the store. I need to get my butt in gear and go. Other than the gillette and OS BW, what should I grab this week? Are the crayons still 0.25? I never found any last week. I know people were getting them for the cat and donating them, but I actually wanted a big stack of crayons. My toddler goes through them like crazy!

Quote from rachael_9667 :
I used Benedryl for my girls for years Everytime they had a "sniffle" (read: I needed them to sleep) they got mommy's special medicine. Big Grin But, DS on the other hand will NOT take any medicine of any kind. I do have some Tylenol w/ Codeine left from the tonsils though so I think he's gonna get that forced on him tonight.

I'm pretty worried about infection, too. I hope it heals quick - I'm not sure how much more suffering he (or his mama) can take.

Trace - thanks & wish I could join you in the weight loss! I'm not sure my OB would be thrilled with that plan but I would looove to lose some flab.
:
Poor baby.. I am sure the finger is sore today.. Ank is right though, kids seem to bounce back so much quicker than adults.. I would just make sure it stays good and clean.
As far as the Benadryl goes, I always hesitated with my kids cause it has the opposite effect on some people. It makes me jittery and I can't sleepRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I would join the weight loss challenge as I am already dieting, but I definitely need to lose more than 15 pounds, so don't think it would be a good matchup.. besides, I am not thinking I will be posting my weight anywhereshake head But I am officially down 26 pounds as of yesterdaybounce

Quote from mamaoftwins2 :

On another note, DH is not feeling well and DD stuffed a grape seed up her nose...Good start...

I think cherry is due this week..Or did she already deliver and I missed it..
laugh out loudKids do the strangest things don't they.. Thankfully, none of mine so far have been into putting things in their noses..

Haven't heard anything about Cherry lately.

I am enjoying coffee this morning.. first cup I have had in almost 3 months! It is wonderful! I haven't had any since I stopped sugar a few months ago, and I can't drink it without flavored creamer. decided to splurge on some SF creamer yesterday for an occasional treat.
Went back to target last night to look for more toys. So many were mentioned in deals thread that I hadn't seen and I thought maybe I missed them. But alot of what others found is full price around here.. And what is up with the scanners?.. 3 stores we have been to all have scanners not working. And they have been like that for a week now!

Glad you had fun!

Took the kids to this awesome park out by the beach today. It was 97 degrees out by 10am here so we didn't stay long. Stopped at that beachy T that I like, TONS of toys still left. I almost couldn't believe it. No Legos or Tags or really good things, but still lots of great finds. Gotta go unload the car while they nap.

I saw all the back and forth on the Deal forum. Didn't step in other than to rep a few people with comments I thought more sensible. But I completely agree with you on all points. Choosing to be a stay at home parent is NOT easy, if it were I'd be at home now, so I totally respect those who can manage it. That doesn't necessarily mean I can afford retail priced toys any more than you but these are not retail they are Clearance. And when it comes to clearance all bets are off in my book. So for those that can and wish to Smash away!

I managed to find another T after work that hadn't reduced there clearance until that afternoon and hadn't put any signs up to advertise it. In fact the end caps were still all 30-50% but aisles had TONS of 75% mixed in everywhere. Picked up about a 1/2 cart full of toys for various relatives and a few extras for potential school B-Day party invites. But couldn't bring myself to buy excess for GS as I just didn't know how well people would pay at GS for new toys and didn't want to take the risk.

Instead I satisfied myself by calling every friend & relative I could think of to try and convince them to make their own runs to T.

Rachael -
OMG EEK! I don't know what I would have done if that happened to my son. Though I know my DH would have either killed me or worse yet banned me from ever shopping again.

I heart the International Delight SF Hazelnut creamer. I don't even want coffee if I can't have the creamer, but I can only find it at Publix and at Walmart. I've price matched a Kroger ad many a time at Walmart to get it cheap.

I am getting yelled at to sit my bucket down. I can't help it. Everything seems so filthy. UGH. It's driving me nuts.

I really want some cornbread right now.

Ha ha ha... I start the day with energy, but it tanks pretty quickly. If and when I accomplish something, it's a sheer act of will, stubbornness, or foolishness. Sometimes all of the above... Big Grin

I did go to Kroger today, but left with only lettuce because DD suddenly turned into a screaming, kicking, whirling dervish devil-child. We had a short "discussion" in the bathroom, but it didn't help so I figured we'd better go. I did manage to wrestle her back into the cart long enough to pay for the lettuce. I was afraid she'd keep it up into the middle of the parking lot and that if she wouldn't walk to the car I was going to have to sit down in the middle of the parking lot and cry until someone had pity on me and dragged her flailing butt to the car for me . It was the shortest Kroger trip I think I've ever had... Went in, got the lettuce, got a cookie, started down the soap aisle and the world fell apart. Too bad it wouldn't open up and swallow me whole! All the old folks were out today too - some of them walked by with that funny grin they get when they've been there done that... but it doesn't help you at that moment when you feel like the whole world is looking at you!!

Anyway, after all of that, I came home and sat for most of the afternoon. *laugh* Now I want to go out shopping - but no way am I taking a certain child out with me tonight! If I go, it'll be a bit later. I guess that means no T today!

As for the crayons - yes, they are still priced at .25 - but it's very difficult (impossible) to find them. You *might* have luck in an area that has a lot of older folks or something - which is why I think I actually found 9 boxes the other day - but... I wouldn't hold my breath at this point. However, the good news is you could get a rain check. Bad news is that I think the catalina stops on 8/8ish.

If you have any wandering schick q's, the hydro 3 is $5.12. There's a loadable eCoupon for $4, and after the $5 mq - makes for some sweet overage. If you have $5/2 sudafed/benadryl coupons there is some clearance sudafed for 1.99 and benadryl for 2.09. Not a lot of overage, but for here it helps with taxes for sure. Olay total effects isn't included in the sale, but the 10pk ivory bar soap is, so the free soap wyb olay q is nice combo'd with the $4 olay mq and the $1.50 TE eCoupon and .50 ivory eCoupon. Oh, the 2pk olay bar soaps are 2/4.00 and included in p&G sale - free after coupon/sale if you have the coupon. Fusion shave cream is .47 after sale & 1.00 coupon.

Oh - the soda pop toppers are a fabulous deal. They are 2.79 (at my store), and there's a loadable .75 ecoupon. There's also a 1.00/2 or .55/1 mq available. They are giving out a catalina for $2.50 OYNO when you buy one.

Freebies - crest 10/10.00 .50 mq dbld = free, 10/10.00 oral b toothbrushes - free with 2/2 coupon, Ivory bw/bar soap is 10/10.00 - free after .50 mq. I think there's some more, but I forget...

I agree about the clearance! I thought about seeing if there's stuff to stock for resale, but I don't have the cash to lay out now and wait for stuff to sell. I think if you hold onto it and sell it on craigslist or gs/fm when it's closer to holidays that you'd be able to get rid of it - but that's a long time to wait if you don't have spare cash lying around.

And for the poop... well, it *is* the TCC thread... LOL!

*laugh* Got a call from the hospital - apparently I've never pre-registered. I have an appointment next Thursday. If I have my way, I'll get my tour a little sooner than that. Roll

WHYYYYY am I sooo darned hungry tonight?? I feel like nothing will satisfy me.

THANK YOU!! hug

This is just one set of tests that had me freaking out on. I seem to be falling apart all at once. shake head But, YES!! Today turned out to be a false alarm, and it was GREAT news!

then... on my way home, my brakes went out on my truck.. Sadwalk .. that is just crazy. I was able to stop it ok, but this is the second set of brakes and rotors in less than 2000 miles. Yes, "TWO thousand' (and, it is the Ford Dealership that has been replacing them. ) Something is REALLY wrong, but since they cant figure it out, they seem to think I should pay $400 each time. This time, they are going to get an earful, if they cannot figure it out. Funny how the dealerships do not warranty brakes, but every other tom, dick, or harry does.

Thanks again for the positive thoughts!!

Thanks Ank Wave I was digging through all of my old p&g coupons tonight.. Gonna try for a few BW tomorrow and maybe some soap. Although, I fully expect the stores to be wiped out.. they usually are lately. I did get one of the ice cream toppers last week. The kids all say it is "gross".. I am not having anything sweet sadly, so I can't verify.. but I may buy another anyway. lol
I can't get those darn ecoupons to load for me. I logged in and tried several times. None of the p&g coupons will load, only got a cheerios one to work?? may try again!

Thanks for the help though!! I appreciate it!

I ran quickly to a different target at noon time to check clearance.. it was really picked over. I grabbed a didj game for 7.48 minus 7.00 MQ and a tag jr book for 2.48 minus coupon.. also grabbed a few sand toys for our september vacation.. out the door for 2.xx

I can officially say that my store is not running any sort of Colgate GC deal BUT did find that Colgate (someting with bubbles) is on TPC for $2. Some of mine even had a free toothbrush attached.
So if you have the $1 MQ and the $1 TQ at least you get some for free!

eFelicity--I did look for a Leapster thing for you today but they are either gone or never clearanced out. I didn't even see a red stick in any of the places for the Leapster stuff, other than the books.

I did get some great toys--even though I really didn't need one of them. Bought some sort of Splatser gun thing that has paintballs. Anyone have any experiece with it. Not even sure its name was Splatser. Its in the car right now.

Went to Fayetteville NC today., my first time. Took the kids bowling with the Kids bowl free summer program. First thing that happens DS#4 age 3 puts on his bolwing sho es, grabs a size 9 ball and then doesnt see the mini step down on to the lane. He falls straight out, his chin hits the bowling ball, bowling ball hits the ground, his teeth poked a small hole into his inside lip and he is bleeding and crying. I then set him into one of the chairs at the table - he stays there until he is feeling better and wants to bowl his turn then some how falls straight out of the chair and his little butt hits the leg thingy. I think he is made of steel cause there he went right to his ball to bowl his turn.

After that 'wonderful' experience we went to JCP cause I had so Qs and they are having some sale thing...spent too much money and cant figure out their discounts and if I got all the ones I was entitled to. Went across the street to TRU, that is a special treat - We found Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine to go with The Gang DS#4 got for his Bday last xmas - yes that is how I meant to say it Teehee Then hit up my thrid Target for the day and found a bubble lawn mower for $4,xx - I am pretty happy with my take this go around. For the most part I skipped Janurarys toy clearence because the kids had SO MANY toys for xmas I really didnt want to do that again...
