Whimseys - nice run!

I always liked X-files - I just have this fear or something of aliens and alien abductions. When I saw that one movie that Mel Gibson did a few years back - I didn't sleep for a week and was terrified when I went outside at night to take the dog out. It's completely irrational, but for whatever reason that stuff gets under my skin! laugh out loud

Ella - Comfort I'm sorry you have to go through all this. I wish there was something I could do to help.

Well... going to go shower and get ready for the day. I decided to sleep in today and go shopping later if I get the around to it. I hate expiring q's... but, I guess that's my fault for not getting out sooner.

I was able to find a few 75% toys for gifts and feel funny giving them with the sticky mark left on them. Is there an easy way to get the sticker residue off? Or should I just embrace it and be proud that I found a great deal? TIA.

That is awesome about the weight loss, Meg! hug

Had a 2 day stockpile sale yesterday and this morning and did really well. Sold about 60% of my total stockpile Faint

Anyways, my deal of the day? Sold 290 cesar trays at $0.50 each Whee

I had a lot of so-called "savvy shoppers" who bought all of my $0.97 toothbrushes for $1. Coverlaugh

Goof-Off or Oops! takes off that residue. Also, baby oil will do it. And I've heard that peanut butter will, too. Good luck!

I checked every Target I've been to and didn't find any Tag readers clearance. They must have been at some because at a few stores, all were gone. Or all of one color were gone. Oh well.
.
Abt the tag reader - I had a tag junior that I bought at full price..On the receipt it showed as NCF Tag ( I think NCF means not carried forward)..I returned it yesterday and it was still full price..Might be some stores are slow and they will clearance the Tag readers later Dontknow

Also my stores just now got that space shooter game...I have been looking for that ever since someone mentioned a peelie on that and only found it yesterday...

Thanks so much for your words of comfort. hug I feel bad now whinning about a neck dissection when you've had brain surgery. .......
It is very understandable how worried you must be. hug I couldn't agree more with Teri's advice to quit Googling.... You tend to only find "worse case scenarios", which worry a person even more. Good luck to you, and try (i know it is easier said than done) to hold on to the positive thoughts.

Thanks so much for your words of comfort. hug I feel bad now whinning about a neck dissection when you've had brain surgery. Frown I'm sorry to hear that and hope you are well now. I did the same thing, goggling pictures of neck dissection surgery and it scared the heck out of me. My body doesn't scar well though Frown I have a keloid scar from a c-section and a smaller one on my neck... so I know this one will be bad since it will go from my ear all across my neck. I also don't recover well from anesthesia and nothing they gave me helped... I spent most of the night throwing up, trying to throw up (which is the worse feeling when your chest is all tight and unable to breathe), and so dizzy. I think other then the scar, what scares me is surgery itself. It's a lot of trust you have to put into other people knowing you will be unconscious and operated on. I guess that is another thing that puts me into panic-mode, the vulnerability of being operated on while knocked out. I am trying my best to reason with myself, I guess it's a good thing I have until the end of August to get used to it. How did you calm yourself down to prepare for surgery?

thank you again... heart
Oh hunny!!! I didn't think you were whinning and you have ever right to be upset. Just bc I went through what I did, doesn't mean others are better off than me. I don't think that in the faintest. You are going through A LOT right now and you are justified in your feelings. Try to stay calm.
I don't do well with anesthesia either. I was in the hospital for 2 extra days because I couldn't get over the nausea. Like Teri said, talk to the medical staff about how you react to the anesthesia. See if they are open to alternative medicine while you are in the hospital. There are some essential oils that can really help with this. Also, there are some medicine that the drs can give you that could help. They didn't help too much with me, but the essential oils did after my C Section, everyone is different though.
I didn't have to wait too long. I got diagnosed with my aneurysm on Jan 16th and had the surgery on Feb 11th. I was lucky to have the surgery that fast bc my insurance was running out (my husband got laid off Jan 15th Annoyed, but that turned out to be a blessing too), so my dr squeezed us in. I had to work for about 3 weeks after I was diagnosed. IT SUCKED! I am a nurse and work in a unit with pts who are all in a PVS [wikipedia.org] due to brain injuries, some of who had the same exact thing I did! EEK! I work nights and I cried EVERY SINGLE NIGHT at work. My co workers tried to help, but I just cried. It was soooo hard to be there at work and see what could go wrong. It was hell. Thankfully it was only 3 weeks.
I had a lot of support. Not so much from ppl locally (though some did help) but A LOT from ppl online. They helped so much!!! There are some SF chat thread and TCCers that carried me through. I am soo thankful for them (will ALWAYS be too! Blowkiss)!!!! I did have my brother move in with me and my step mom came down and stayed with us for like 8 weeks. I am thankful that my family was able to move here (even if temporarily) and help us.
Take ANY help that anyone offers! You would be surprised how someone making you one meal or doing a load of laundry or sending you paper good so you don't have to dishes, ect can help. It is amazing, truly!
I didn't worry about the vulnerability so much, I knew that it was my only option, so I had to have faith. I think my surgery was like 8 hours long. I know things can go wrong, but that is the minority not the majority of times. I knew that if I wanted to live a long life for my girls I had to do the surgery. I only envisioned seeing my beautiful daughters growing up. My own mother had a stroke (from the same diagnoses that I had) when I was 13. Though I am thankful she didn't pass away then, she missed out on a lot of my life after that. I knew I wanted to be there for my girls and that is what made me strong enough to not be terrified about being in surgery. I had a lot of ppl praying for me and you will too! hug Please feel free to PM me at any time!!!

All to 1 buyer! I know it sounds like a lot of cesar to have accumulated but how many cesar b2g1 have there been? I was getting 5 or so every day, each time I shopped. SO glad to finally be rid of them all...they sat for a lot of sales without even a bite. I was even thinking about lower them to 4/$1 but glad I didn't! Big Grin
