It's on Nick and Nick Jr. Think Dora set in China, though not nearly as whiny sounding a voice (so many children's programming characters have annoying whiny voices imo ). I bought the Megablocks sets with the $3 TQ in May, was a little peeved when I found them 75% off. And I found some cute plushy animals in the TRU clearance weeks ago.
Here's a youtube vid for all the Dora talk [youtube.com] Roll

FacepalmOf course GS = garage sale. Good grief. I am stressed out. AC unit went out & they said it'd start at $6,000 to replace. I'm in shock & haven't recovered. Frown
Thanks for the info on delete. I didn't know that you couldn't delete the whole post. Now I know the trick. I just thought my fried-out mind couldn't see the obvious delete button.

And he said it could go up to $15,000. We should've mentioned that we didn't want the 18K gold ones.Stick Out Tongue I guess I shouldn't tell the 15 yr old that his "new" car is going to be sitting outside cooling his bedroom soon.
Fortunately, it's just the upstairs unit. The downstairs is OK. Thank goodness, since the heat index here yesterday was in the 120s (don't know what it was today).

I think I found one of the air hogs you

I have no idea abt the hobby shop ones].But I am sure if I mention it to DH, he will out of the door in a minute:

OK, so who exactly IS Kai Lan:

I got dd all of the Kai Lan Mega Blocks on clearance just because I really didn't care who the character was - they are decent building toys - and she loves them. BUT still have no clue who she is/where she's from/etc. Is she on cable?? If so, we don't have cable and that's probably why I havn't a clue:

Just got back from T....found a bunch of Market Pantry frozen pancakes 'as is' for .56 (75% off.) Not usually one to buy frozen pancakes but at that price couldn't resist. Also WW Smart Ones calzones for $1.27 (50% off.) Had some .50/2 snail mail q's. Not the best price but dh loves them for his work lunches so I'll pay that. I am still trying to nail down how much my family will use of each item before the next big sale on a few things....WW smart ones being one of them!

Would that maybe be flat laugh out loud

Speaking of baby stuff - have any of you seen the new layout of baby aisles? They're eliminating the huge long aisle of strollers/big pieces/furniture/etc and going to longer aisles the other direction:

Was:
_____

I I I I I I
I I I I I I
I I I I I I

Now:

I I I I I I
I I I I I I
I I I I I I
I I I I I I

They're also making some of the new area shorter in height.

It's not bad. Saw it in 2 expanded grocery stores (one was in process and was a normal T clusterfark)

Also, one store I was at was still 30% for ALL baby stuff on Friday. Censored Catch up, dangit

P.S. - Isee, cathi and ank - sent your goodies today as I was finally home to go through my tearpad box woot
Your illistrations of the aisleslook around are still going in the same direction lol

They kinda look like morse codelaugh out loud
Thanks so much, again

Thank you Smilie Same thing here, no more of the carseats I have been looking at for a while as well but one store still has 2 swings and a few playpens. been stalking them like crazy since they started clearing this out weeks ago but we received a wonderful gift last monday and couldn't possibly go to T. Been advised to at least take it easy for now and just enjoy our new baby Smilie thats why I sent DH today knowing about the markdown but forgot to tell him to have it price checked. He found them at 50% but not sure if this is the new markdown or the one last week.
Sorry haven't been in to look. Congratulations on the new addition.Flowers2

What is contact cement??

I made a quick trip to T. Saw some "limited time only" boxes of pampers wipes. They had around 432 ct in them - priced 9.99. The 5XX count boxes were 11.XX, and there were some boxes of up & up wipes (704 ct) for 9.XX on clearance.

TM4D - Ni Hao is on Nick JR - cable program. I have seen it and think it's okay, but a bit annoying for me. *
And I must be missing sumpin'...

Me too.

Coverlaugh I erased what I wrote and rewrote... and again... and it still didn't make sense I guess laugh out loud

What I meant was - they eliminated the big long section, and made the smaller aisles longer. Not applicable in all stores (like some STs) ... but this was in 2 stores with expanded grocery.

Has anyone else just been overwhelmed by their coupons? I seriously feel as though they're taking over my life, and I have no idea how to stop that. I've been getting so many inserts every week (usually over 20) and I don't have a system in place. So far, I've been colating them and clipping them together by insert/week, but then when I need to go to the store, I have to flip through each set to find the coupons and then clip them. I'm much too impatient for that. So I need to get them clipped and into a binder of some sort, so I can just grab and go when the need arises, but I haven't found the right sleeves yet. grrrrr... I am not an organized person and stuff like this just frustrates me because I can't figure it out.

OK ... rant over. Off to pack hubby's lunch and then sit in front of the TV and pull inserts.

Got ya , haven' t done that yet here we don't have any ST"s just expanded,

Now I don't make any sense I didn't mean I didn't understand the aisle layout , just that the , - - - - , LOOKS like morse code . LOL

Sky - I understood what you were saying, but I don't know if that's good or bad because I don't think my brain works the same way as most folks' does... Roll

Flugette - I try not to get whole inserts other than what folks gift me. I am *not* organized enough for that - I end up with piles and they are annoying to me.

I just order the ones I want clipped, and they come in nice piles. I have a binder that I will occasionally put the q's into - this usually ends up mostly long dated, tearpads, and blinkies - unless I'm really motivated some day, and I'll actually put other q's away. I have the baseball card inserts, but I would like something with bigger pockets. Problem is, it would probably mean that I would need at least 2 binders so I haven't gone so far as to change that yet.

I have used a pencil box or shoe box to organize the clipped q's I have by alphabetical order. This works the best for me because I can find the exact q when I want it. I tried to do alphabetical in my binder, but with all the pockets it took too long when I had to move stuff around - so that did not last long at all. (I organize by category in my binder) I do carry my q's in the car with me, but I usually leave the bulk in the car and take what I plan and what I've read may be good deals/clearances in the store with me. I use a little 13 pocket coupon file for that.

Thanks for the info. on Kai Lan.....guess I dunno what I'm missing w/o cableTeehee We just really can't afford it (or at least it's low on the priorities list) but honestly we've never had it since I've been married and I really don't miss it too much.

We have some basic channels because of the net, and we get extra channels because of being in a townhome thing - something about the signals crossing or not being able to all be blocked. I dunno... I don't mind because it means I get the hgtv and cooking shows that I wouldn't normally get (and no extra fee...) and sometimes some okay movie channels! Smilie

But, honestly, you aren't missing much!!

Okay... DH told me dinner was so good it was awesome before it even made it into his mouth. laugh out loud

Low carb pizza... It's totally adapted from the original recipe because I just can't leave well enough alone... laugh out loud

Crust:

6 oz cream cheese
4 eggs
1 cup cheese
~1/2 tsp salt
few sprinkles of pepper
~1/2 tsp of italian seasonings
~1/2 tsp garlic powder (or some fresh garlic minced... mmm)

Beat together until well combined. Spray 9x13 pan, pour in batter and bake in oven at 350 for about 20-25 minutes (until it's browning).

Now, the directions say to top with whatever pizza toppings you want, more cheese and bake another 10-15 minutes.

What I did:

Melt about 2 tbs butter in frying pan. Sautee 6 minced garlic cloves until lightly brown (or more... Big Grin ), add a little more salt, pepper, and italian seasoning. Add 2 pkg of mini-salad shrimp and some thawed out frozen spinach (I think it's an 8 or 10 oz pkg - drained well.) Cook until you're pretty sure you are smelling the smells of heaven's kitchen - or at least until the shrimp is basically cooked... Drain excess liquids and spread mix over over the baked "crust". Top with more cheese (I used Kraft's italian 5 cheese blend), and bake until cheese is melted - about 10 more minutes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this will be on Heaven's banquet table....

Ank- the pizza sounds yummy. I may need to try it.. of course, I need to switch the shrimp and add chicken. I am not a big shrimp eater, and the thoughts of it on pizza doesn't sound good to me, but I may change it up. I was in one of those moods tonight. The family had something quick and easy.. spaghetti.. but since I wasn't gonna partake of that, I just had turkey with pepper jack cheese rollups, and some raw cut up veggies.. Nothing exciting at all, but it fed my tummy and helped me not digress from diet today Smilie

And Ank, thanks for the college suggestions. He actually is going to a community type college. Tuition is very reasonable. It is just with 4 kids, we don't have ANY extra right now. If we could make payments it would help, but the entire semester cost up front is hard. We actually have enough to scrape together to pay it, but that would leave nothing to buy his books, and make things very tight.. would probably eliminate some other things we need like getting the rest of the dental work for the other 2 that need it. I know loans can add up, but for right now, I think that is going to be our best option.. It may sound like a mean, harsh parent.. but we feel like he kinda screwed up and let his grades slide... missed getting the GA Hope scholarship by just a few tenths of a point. He hasn't gotten a job all summer even though we have offerred to help him look. And only decided where he wanted to go within the last 5 or 6 weeks.. So, he is gonna have to take some responsibility here and borrow money if he wants to go. I am also hoping that him borrowing and paying for his own education will make him take it more seriously. I knew lots of young students when I went to college who thought nothing of blowing their parents money while they failed class after class. The amount of money he would borrow for this year would be around 4000 and then hopefully the goal is he will keep his grades up and will be reevaluated for the HOPE scholarship after 30 hours, which should be about one year. We are going to register tomorrow !

My DD seemed okay tonight after the root canal. I thought she would be sore, but she didn't seem it.. She has the temporary filling and will go back for the crown when she feels up to it, and mama gets the money for it.. I went ahead and signed up for some more extra time at work.

My toddler is totally potty trained now. I am very excited. She has even been pooping regularly on the potty for almost 3 weeks. She cries at night when I put the pullup on.. Tells me she isn't a baby. But I don't want to wake up and change sheets.. some mornings she is dry, but other times she isn't. I told her we need to wait just a little bit longer.

oh well, I am going to bed finally. Hoping for a good night's sleep tonight. I am beat.
