I think he's as impatient as I am now. I asked if I could go shopping and he said "YES!" LOL. I told him I may decide to just not sit down til this baby is born. ha ha ha
how is everyone doing??

I think women are just more naturally inclined to be coy and/or read between the lines... men need everything spelled out exact and in plain words. At least, that's what hubby says he needs most of the time. *laugh*
The contractions are bouncing all over the place. 10-12 minutes for a while, then 5-8, etc... I am now getting a lot of pressure - so I am hoping that means Mavis is descending and we'll get stronger/closer contractions soon and/or some water breakage.
My doc said to call & head to L&D when contractions are 3-5 minutes apart for about an hour or my water breaks. So far... neither one of those has happened.
But, I am really starting to think it is going to happen today. So... I'm just weathering it out here at home (which I'd rather do than hooked up to monitors or whatnot at the hospital anyways.)
And... I'm actually trying to put together some coupon runs. *laugh* I figure if I don't get to it, then *maybe* DD/DH could do it. *laugh* Worst case, it gives me sumpin' to do while I"m sitting here or pacing,
Oh - we are literally 5 minutes from the hospital... so we probably don't have to worry about not making it in time if we wait long. I'm pretty sure DH would even sprout wings and fly if he felt the need at this point.

PS - I cannot imagine it would take you an hour w/contractions at 3-5 to dialate the rest of the way either?? I'm thinking it'll go chop chop once this labor picks up.
She'll be here no doubt come on Miss Mavis this is your big day Help Mommy Out a Bit
I have gone from 5 to 10 pronto. This last one I was given a bit of pitocin when I went in at 4 in the morning (3 cm) They were gonna induce buy my lil man was already getting ready to appear so they gave him a nudge. A lil pitocin and water breaking at 9:45 am had him at 10:42 am. I thought that was fast but all ladies are different.
I am suffering right along with you - they closed them all down in both of the big towns near me. Which is probably best or I'd have about 15 extra pounds to lose LOL

My first 2, my water broke early with no contractions. When contractions started, they were very weak and I barely progressed - so I had long labors with lots of painful pitocin. I hate that stuff.
In a large way, this has really been a blessing. I was 5 cm at my last appointment - so that is half way there without any kind of drugs, and the contractions I've had have been quite bearable. So it's been really good to me. I really shouldn't complain - I'm just being very impatient!
I kind of like the idea of hanging out here at home as long as possible. I really don't want to be put on any pitocin if it can be avoided! So the longer I am home and progressing, the better I am!
So, for an update... they've been 5 min apart now for a good 30 - 40 minutes. So I'm hoping this is close to being it!!
I'm conflicted as to what to do. I am HUNGRY... do I eat, or wait??
