jillyq, welcome aboard!

Is it a full moon? The temp in Hell?

My kids are being absolutely demanding, destructive, and annoying today. Took them to Kohl's for CLOTHES shopping. My son (he's almost 7) is done in about 2 minutes and picked every shirt that has a toy attached to it. My four year old did well considering but wasn't interested in anything else once she found the "makeup." (it's really chapstick) Then went to Albertson's and my 2 year old threw the most go awful fit leaving that I thought the police were going to show up. Got home and they have done everything but be nice to each other.

Got some Coors, I plan on drinking myself into oblivion tonight.

I had to check the calendar as well, have been having the oddest phone calls at work today. These definitely revolve around the moon's tide. We decided the moon is having PMS this week, as it isn't full until the 24th!

Do you work in public service?? We used to get the most "interesting" phone calls around the full moon. I had worked at a health department a few moons ago... Those were some fun days.

Well, hopefully the PMSing moon will do sumpin to this baby. I can hope, right??

Bad news... apparently it is not a good thing to leave the headlights on in the car overnight. Sadwalk No battery... no shopping... *sigh* Guess I should prep for shopping tomorrow. *shrug*

Fixing to go to target. Oy! I'm back in the land of suckdates and I'm going to blow them away when I get there. I have so much I need to buy that my coupon stack is about 4 inches thick and that's cutting it down to the bare necessities. Ugh. I dread this.

If I don't post tonight, I'm in jail.

No car?? That's one sure-fire way to go into labor.

Actually, a hospital. One that plays a lullaby over the PA every time a baby is born. Wanna know how many times I have thought of you over the last few weeks? hug

I need some advice. My four 1/2 year old daughter started VPK last week at the same school she has been going to for 2 years of preschool. They called me on Friday saying she had been crying uncontrollably for 40 minutes. They said she was drawing and just burst into tears. She wouldn't tell them what was wrong. They said she only said she missed me. This is the same kid that couldn't wait to go to school last year. She has always been so fiercely independent so I don't understand why the big change. It happened at the gym too a few weeks ago. They had to come get me because she was crying so hard that she wanted me. So this morning at 8:30 she starts crying uncontrollably while she is watching TV and tells me she doesn't want to go to school. But when I ask her why or try to talk to her she doesn't tell me anything?? She just says, "I just cry there" She was still crying when I left her at 9 am. I have called the pediatrician and waiting to hear back. I am just at a loss, everyone says it is a phase. I just don't know how to handle it. Anyone else ever experience this? I remember reading something about the "half" ages being difficult and she is almost exactly 4 1/2.
My DD (7, then 6) went thru this last year. She's always been out-going and happy-go-lucky, never had a problem with her going anywhere (and she was in competition dance the year before, 5 nights of dance after school). Then, suddenly, after school started having crying fits. I think part of it was that she spend the whole summer with us, we had our own business we had just started, so "daycare" was sitting at the shop with us. She got over it, in time, but it was sure hard in the mean time.

I used a genie with my oldest and it was so disgusting we threw it away and never used it for my 2nd. We got those little baggies that are scented and have ties to throw them out right away. Changing out that genie and emptying it would cause my dh and me to go into gagging fits Roll *snip*
We always used a trash can outside the door, with a cover, and sandwich ziploc bags for the smelly ones. Never had a problem with odor.

Most would freak out at the possibility of the car not working to make it to the hospital... but, that looks like it was probably second on your mind. hee hee... Too cute.

I just went to T and Kroger for groceries. The button closure thing on my coupon file broke off sometime while I was in Kroger. I had already gone to T so I thought I'd just wait until my next T trip to get a replacement. When I got out of the truck somehow the coupons managed to flip out of my reusable bag and all over the lawn. I would have been swearing like a sailor had my 80-something neighbor not been standing right there.

I had just said to myself that I really need to clean out the expireds and reorganize things but that wasn't what I had in mind. Grr..

Hello everyone. I am new to this discussion but would like to ask a quick question. Are there currently any programs/websites that track Target.com items. There is an item I am waiting for to be in stock and it seems I keep missing it as it soon goes OOS online (probably because they order 1-2)

Thanks.

Yeah... that thought hadn't occurred to me until reading this thread just now. *laugh*

We do have a van - but DH has it at work. I doubt I'd go into labor and burst before he could make it home (course, you never really know...) But... if this baby doesn't know that and it fakes her out so that she decides to make her appearance while we are so inconvenienced, then that's not such a bad thing!!

hug I hate when stuff like that happens...

I'm hoping this storm makes baby want to come sooner. Storm, no car, fairly empty fridge, c'mon... perfect conditions for labor - right??!!

Well, I survived Target. My total before coupons was so high I thought I had overspent but by the end I paid < 3.00. Totally blew me and the cashier away. I never keep count. The overage paid for everything from coloring books to merona shirts. LMAO

The coupons that auto'ed down (armor all..etc) she deleted and manually entered. I didn't have to harrass them afterall.

Ank... I got something for you!! The difference between 69 and 88 from what I could see was that 88 had black ink included and 69 doest. It was only 7.00 more for 88 so that's what I got. Tada!

PM me your addy before you go into labor. bounce

I'm curious, but am I missing something with ink? I have a Brother MFC and I payed $11 (with shipping) for 4 black and 2 of each color (red/yellow/blue) for generic ink on Amazon. I know you are supposed to use OEM, but I've used generic ink for the past 4 years I've had it with no problems. Just putting that out there.

I am so Annoyed right now. Just got back from the vet for the 2nd time since Fri. My little kitty is sick, his eye is messed up and he can hardly breathe thru his nose. I swear, I don't know why I go to the vet, besides its the only one in town, without driving to Athens. It's like going in to a car dealership, they are WAY overpriced, and try to add crap on that I don't need.

They want me to pay $47 for a Feline Leukemia test. OMG I won't let them do it, because this same vet tested my MIL's cat, told them it had it, it would maybe live a year, then 6 months later, tested it again, and oh, it was a false positive. Sorry you've been so upset about your cat for the last 6 months. I don't need to know if my cat is going to die earlier than expected, and our 3 other cats would already be infected by now, so I don't even want the chance of that being a false positive.

It was $33 for amoxicillan, looks and has the same ingredients that my daughter had in hers that I got for free at Publix (without insurance). Another $10 for 7 allergy pills, they wanted me to get more eye drops for him for another $20, on top of the $33.xx I spent on eye drops on Fri. They wanted to do shots, for another antibiotic (another $19), and two other ones for $17/ea. On top of the $20 office visit for his recheck today, and the $8x.xx I spent on Friday. All because I called, like they told me to, to get an oral antibiotic.

And, of course, it's just a virus, so it will run it's course in about 7-10 days on it's own.

I just feel like I'm trying to get widget 1, and they try to sell me widget 2, 3, 4, & 5, at a costly mark-up, and then guilt-trip me if I don't. This will be the last time this Vet gets my business!

Sorry, I'm done venting now. Just had to get that out.

Faint Wow... thank you for getting the ink!!! You are so sweet!

And the whole "overspent" feeling happens to me a lot. Sometimes it seems very high until I get near the end of the q stack. Kind of makes me sweat sometimes! With all the updates, I stand there thinking "crud, is something not deducting right???" but it usually ends up proper.

I have an Epson - I don't think they take/make generics for mine. Frown Sadwalk

And I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. hug
