Yes, this little munchkin apparently runs on her own schedule. It will be interesting to see what she's like after she's born!

I'm quickly realizing my schedule is going to be changing very quickly. We've held off schooling until after baby gets here and we settle in. I'm figuring we'll start officially in the 2nd week of September. DD has the option to do Saturdays or extend her official school year into the summer. I have a feeling she'll do some Saturdays to catch up.
:
As far as schooling goes, I love the flexibility like that.. We work alot of times on the weekends to make up for missing days.. sick days, days we are out doing stuff, or days we just don't feel like working. As long as all the work gets done, I am good. I actually let them kinda have control over holiday breaks. I tell them where they need to be in the book (usually almost half way.. like if there are 24 chapters in a book, we need to finish 10) and as soon as they finish that point, they can break for Christmas.. Sometimes, they finish very early in december and other times one child may be working until the 22nd or so.. I am trying to let them learn not to put work off.. of course, this plan doesn't really work for younger elementary kids LMAO but mine are older. They didn't officially start until this week, but they each chose to do some things last week.
Can your DD work on her own without you? If so, she may be able to start some work even while you are still healing and trying to rest.. just a thought ! Mine need most help with math.. alot of their other stuff is reading and vocab/questions they do on their own. I had a friend who had a baby in late March and she worked her schedule so that her kids all finished schooling for the year before the baby was born. I lost a baby 3 years ago (actually exactly 3 years today.. still struggle with the day).. I was at the end of month 3, and I was so sick and very depressed. We didn't start school that year until OctoberEEK! But, it all worked out in the end.. They were fine.

Speaking of school. My oldest started college yesterday and came home and said "it was pretty good.. none of my instructors seemed like jerksLMAO" I think he will be in for a reality shock when the work load actually starts. My favorite class he is taking is communications/public speaking.. it should be a great learning experience since he won't speak to anyone.. He won't even go into a place a fill out an application. He wants to do them all "online".. This should help him ALOT!

Been stocking up in granola bars (thanks kroger and publix) and fruit cups.. trying to keep alot of portable snacks for all those busy, on the run days!

Not sure if you all know this but Gain is giving away 5000 dishwashing liquids "midday" today. Oops, it is just a Gain Freebie. Not sure what yet.

I guess so! I am still trying to get exact locations..etc and will let everyone know when I find out.

Can anyone give a recommendation on a good store bought pizza crust? I don't really want to make my own crust and the kids want homemade pizza. I saw the Archer Farm or Market Pantry ones yesterday but a little scared to try it. I've used the Boboli (sp?) before but wasn't too impressed.

Ank, your box went out today. I will PM you the DC number when I find it in the bottomless pit of hell called my purse.

ooooh what's the deal with kroger and granola bars?

The bolded part may be the problem... *lol* I think Jiffy makes a boxed pizza crust mix, and I've actually done the pillsbury pizza crust and it's not too bad for what it is. *shrug*

Thank you for the box!! I'm excited! Big Grin

And the granola bars - the Nature Valley stuff is included in the buy 8 get $4 off your order - and I think they run about 1.99ish each after the sale. There's a catalina deal for $3.50 OYNO wyb 5. There are various IP's for the stuff too, and eq's you can load to your card. So fairly cheap/freeish stuff after factoring in all the q's/sale/eq's/oyno etc...

hug I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. Comfort I can't even imagine what it would be like.

I am glad for the flexibility of homeschooling - it's definitely less stressful that way. I think DD could probably work on her own, so maybe I will do that. It's a new curriculum, so I hate to just throw it at her, but if she struggles we could just go ahead and put it off and not be worse for the wear. Math will definitely be her biggest issue.

So... how bad is it if you are staring at the pickle relish and wondering - do I put it on my hot dog, or just get a spoon??

And what is it about being pregnant that makes you completely unable to eat a meal without wearing half of it?

You know, I'm starting to think that maybe Mavis is confused. It feels like she is trying to come out the side of my stomach - right under my ribs!! I'm thinking she's gotten confused as to where the exit it!!

Some larger grocers have their own "store brand" of the refridgerated dough too. It's decent. Also look in the frozen aisle with the frozen breads. That's not too bad either. I know some pizza chains around here that make their own fresh dough daily will sell you proofed dough that hasn't been rolled out, usually for less than $1 here. If it's not too far to drive maybe you could find "fresh dough" to buy.

I just sat down for a min, and decided to catch up on Deals. I'm usually patient and helping, but I swear, if I hear 1 more "where can I find the .pdf of..." I'm going to Blowup

I made a quick run to Publix & Kroger for some cereal (thanks to Ank and the other Kroger people on here) this morning, but avoided Target. I just couldn't bring myself to go in there (college students are back, makes it a mad-house!)

Now I am off to redo the shelf configuration in my kitchen, I have too many boxes of cereal, chef boyardee, Sobe.. I need more storage and organization, and less chaos!

Good luck Ank, hope Mavis makes her appearance for you soon!
