Yeah, after a little more perusal, there are a couple other errors - but not going to be worth the hassle I think. *sigh* One of those "eat it and pay better attention next time" deals. I just figure that means I need to go print me a gazillion q's at the library and go use 'em all up. Most produce freezes, right??!! Big Grin And stocking up enough chef boyardee in case of nuclear war is always helpful, right??

*snip*
One day this wk. I'd gotten GNP chicken tenders that were supposed to be $3.09 (short-dated) and rang up at $5.99 OMG Needless to say I am in the habit of parking at the non-grocery end, checking out at the grocery end, and scanning my receipt for errors as I walk back down past CS and toward the end I am parked at. The prices for produce and meat fluctuate so much here anymore that I think sometimes they just don't get them changed. I've been going a lot lately just to check those prices.

I have frozen carrots and done strawberry freezer jam this week (8 lbs. of strawberries worth) and have been buying a few apples each time I go to turn into applesauce. LOVING this as produce prices will be so, so high in just a few months!

Ank, I'm as stunned as you are that you're still pregnant laugh out loud

rachael, oh no, that's so sad. Frown Something like that happened to me as a child too. I let the dog (for the first time) walk to the store with me. He got into the road to smell something and a car hit him right in front of me. I just laid on the side of the road and cried until my mom got home.
I never really had another dog. I took care of strays and took on some abandoned dogs for people but I just never got real attached to another dog for the rest of my life. hug

My kids are being absolutely demanding, destructive, and annoying today. Took them to Kohl's for CLOTHES shopping. My son (he's almost 7) is done in about 2 minutes and picked every shirt that has a toy attached to it. My four year old did well considering but wasn't interested in anything else once she found the "makeup." (it's really chapstick) Then went to Albertson's and my 2 year old threw the most go awful fit leaving that I thought the police were going to show up. Got home and they have done everything but be nice to each other.

Got some Coors, I plan on drinking myself into oblivion tonight.
LMAO

I was thinking of changing the topic from poop to food horrors.

Yesterday I opened a box of Betty Crocker potatoes- you know, the kind with a plastic bag of dried potatoes and a packet of sauce mix?

Well, I pulled the potatoes and packet out of the box and saw something rolling around in the bottom of the box. I poured it into my hand, and it was a mouse dropping! EEK!

This was a totally sealed box, and we don't have mice, so that had to have gotten in there at the factory. Makes me nervous about their sanitation at that factory.

Today I was getting the Del Monte fruit cups at Target, and when I picked up one, I felt something slimy. I took a closer look, and one of the cups in the package was not sealed good. The fruit in that cup was ROTTEN. Yuck!!!!!!! How did the shelf stocker not notice that? Confused
OMW, I thought I had bad luck with stuff LOL - YUCK!

anyone in here around or in IL?

I have a friend that lives outside Chicago in a suburb and they haven't had D-Day yet.
Jawdrop I am ALL ears.

I lost a baby 3 years ago (actually exactly 3 years today.. still struggle with the day).. I was at the end of month 3, and I was so sick and very depressed. We didn't start school that year until OctoberEEK! But, it all worked out in the end.. They were fine.
Comfort I'm sorry about the baby - those wounds never seem to heal completely. hug

Hmm... that is actually a good idea. I will have to do that from now on - once I got outside I just couldn't bring myself back inside. Though, I was a bit surprised. My DD is normally all about standing up for herself, but I doubt she even really understood the whole receipt thing (I did try to explain to her and tell her what to say... but... eh.) At any rate, I will have to do that from now on.

Oh... I'm still here. And pregnant.

And that's your recap.

Roll

Seriously, though... not a whole going on but trying to figure out why this baby hasn't come and how annoying all the deals posts can get after while - oh, and how the T deals are kind of lame lately. Folks gearing up for BTS, I made stuffed peppers tonight... What am I missing??

Rachael - *laugh* I think we all are now.

I had horrendous back labor with both of mine. I was 2 weeks early with DS and went to the hospital. They told me it was prolly a kidney infection since the contractions were barely registering. They tried to send me home but I refused saying if this was a kidney infection, shoot me now because I couldn't do labor! I had my son 5 hours later Annoyed

Pray it's happening!!

Ank, I hope the backache means something good!

The electricity finally came on about 2 hours ago. The electric company said lightning struck a transformer and that a small tornadoe did some damage. Well, I didn't see a tornadoe. I was out driving in that crap to Target. LMAO

TGIF Skillet Meals TPC 4.99 regular 7.19.

I went to a store here that just expanded their grocery area and it looks totally different. I noticed lots and lots of things were on "remodel special." For instane, the Del Monte fruit cups are b3g1 there to but 1.75 instead of 2.00. The quaker variety packs were 2.00 instead of 2.50. Very odd! I'm going back tomorrow armed with coupons.

Well... I've still got a little bit of pain here and there - but it's not progressed into anything worth note. ARGH.

My poor darling husband spent half the night being up. I told him I'm going to quit saying anything until my water breaks because it just gets him so excited he can't sleep!

At any rate, I am still here and hanging out. Trying to figure out what to do with my morning to be productive and not get depressed! I might go crayon shopping at Kroger.

Ank, I always found the last month to be the worst in the pregnancy. I was so huge, so uncomfortable, so ready to have it done with. Here's hoping this last little bit will go by quickly for you!! hug

Looks like rain all day today. I was planning on going to HT to do the GM deal, but I think I'll put that off. Oh well, gives me time to sort my Qs, clean my house, tend to my kids, etc. laugh out loud

So are there special coupons to make the Quaker deal awesome? Guess I need to go check the deals thread. I'm actually low on oatmeal, and hubby likes that for work in the morning.

Has anyone done Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party? I'm planning on doing that for my son this Friday. No friends, just family, so I'm not going to do like a party package or anything, but I was wondering if they'd let me bring in a cake.
