I'm drowning my sorrow in brownies and locally made chocolate oreo ice cream with a very small side glass of wine.

The L&D nurse said the baby's head was down, but not fully engaged - though she said it may not fully engage until my water breaks. Also, while I was there little Miss Mavis got all crazy active and I had contractions about 10-15 minutes apart instead of the 5-7 I had earlier. They said come back when the contractions were 3-5.

I don't know why my contractions are bouncing all over the place now, and I don't know why they keep sending me home. It's highly frustrating. Sadwalk Oh, they did say I hadn't dilated any more - so maybe that's it. Even if I'm having contractions, if nothing is happening, then they must just figure it to be false or at the least unproductive labor.

I don't know. I'm just tired and annoyed and frustrated and trying not to sit here and weep big sloppy tears. I've been trying to take some walks and stuff. I can't be out too long because it's so hot and the skeeters eat me alive (even with bug spray!), and I am feeling cooped up and like a caged critter now. I think if DH goes to work in the morning I'm going to drive at least to my crappy Kroger - it's just 2 minutes away and right between home and hospital.

False labor that hurts and is regular?! hug Ugh. Idiots.

I seriously don't know how you are supposed to know when it's time to go. It's not like you have a nurse to check your cervix or a monitor to follow your contractions or an u/s machine to see where the baby's head is. Chairbash

I'm thinking if you said break my water or start pitocin or some other such crap, they'd keep you -but since you don't want them in your biz, they don't want you until it's too late to do anything but catch. I don't think I care for those people. Mad

Yeah... my DH was pretty Mad too.

I did ask them how we could get the water broken and they said to go home and "screw around"... *sigh* It seems like they would just want to start me on pitocin first if induced - skip breaking the water til later.

On another note... I love these dresses. I plan to at least make the white one this year - and more than that, I plan to fit into it!

That seems like dicey advice, but, what the hell do you have to lose at this point laugh out loud

My labor with DD#2 started and stopped a lot but I figured it was b/c I have a farked up cervix. (It has scar tissue that doesn't allow me to fully dialate) Maybe it's more common than I thought. Yours seems like so much more progressed than mine was though and they kept me. I didn't live close though and had a history of cervix tearing by an artery so that could have been a factor. I dunno. Those people are irritating me though. Swordfight

Love the dresses and love that you sew heart My machine is put away right now (no room) but it's a little hobby that I always loved.

I *barely* sew... but I'm determined. Smilie I wish I had learned when I was much younger. My mother made our clothes while we were growing up, but she never taught us. She just figured it'd be useless for us. *shrug* Now DD and I are kind of learning as we go.

Ank, so sorry they sent you home hug Enjoy your ice cream, you deserve it. It sounds so yummy. I've had a carton of chocolate and a carton of B&J Cherry Garcia in the freezer for awhile now, just waiting for the right time to 'cheat' and have a bowl. I love the two flavors together yummy

Ariel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! heart I'm soooo happy for you heart

Just got home from DD and DSIL's. They made dinner for a change. It was very nice, but I'm tired after working all week. I'm going through my inserts getting them in order. I've been so bad this year about marking and filing them.

Hang out some in fabric stores. Do y'all have a Hancock's or Joann's there? Those people know more than almost everyone's mom anyway laugh out loud I would show them my pattern and ask questions or for clarification on things and they always knew just what to do.

Tracy - thank you. I hope she comes too... but I'm just going to sit here quietly and wait I guess. Well, actually, I'm printing coupons and plan to wipe out every Kroger in the area of Sobe and nature valley stuff, chex mix and crayons if there are any left. Then I may hit up T and get some colgate, bic, chef, and produce. (Okay, maybe I won't totally wipe out Kroger and whatnot, but I'm going to make an effort to do some shopping!)

Rachel - we do have a Joann's - I'll have to remember to use them for any questions and help that I need!
