breaking news: armed man in our bldg - NO OT PLS.

Please pray for the safety of our employees. This is in silver spring, MD. News said there is a hostage. Police locked down the vicinity and I saw swat team. We were out of the bldg but some I believe are still there. This is the discovery channel corporate bldg.

Rumors out that this is an ecoterrorist act. He is expressing "concerns" about Discovery. An ambulance is on scene, and appears to be retrieving someone from the lobby. Police are talking to the subject, and he is apparently making demands.

I wonder if this is about Whale Wars, given his apparent ethnicity. The subject's name is James Lee.

We are supposed to have a meeting the same floor near the lobby then we saw our receptionist rushing afraid toward us then followed by the security shouting there is a gun. Some employee said they heard some gunshots then we run to the 4th floor. And hide back in the other side of the bldg. Locked ourselves in the conference room. Then we went floor by floor hiding based from the instructions of the management until we found a way to exit through fire escape and garage. The babies and childrens were evacuated safely from the bldg.
