Our water bill runs about 80-ish every two months for only dh and I and our 2-yr-old. And we are really conscious of our water usage, BUT that is water/trash/sewer combined too.
We pay trash pick-up seperately to another company. I think it's $42/quarter. (Can you tell I'm not the one who pays our bills?). So it works out to about the same for us.

I was wondering about toy pricing too.. I am thinking probably 50% off like my other items I sell.. but I may wait until closer to the holidays. I am thinking toys may sell well in November. I want to do a sale in a week or so and get rid of some school supplies, snacks, and cereal.

And as far as the water bill goes.. I have complained about ours so much. I think water has gone up the last few years here. We used to pay 25-30 per month for water and sewage.. Now, at our current house we pay around 50.00 a month and it is just water, no sewage. Of course, there is 6 of us!
I wish I could wait until November. I bet you are right, and they will sell better!

When I fell on hard times, I had no idea what to do or where to go. My 1st thought was the Salvation Army for help. Nope! They refused me help...flat out, refused me. They had a shelter but wouldnt take us because we had only just become with out a place to sleep, the had a food pantry but wouldnt give us any food because we didnt have a place to sleep, so and so on.

I still hold a grudge. With everything I find for little to nothing I will not give it to the SA.
OMG, My Mom won't give to the Salvation Army (Sally Ann) either. Her mother left her in England when she was 13yrs old and she was supposed to live with her older brother, but he kicked her out and said we don't have money to feed or house you. So she went and sat on a park bench, crying wondering what she should do. She said she remembered the SA and found a SA man with the little blue suit on and told him her story. They said the same thing to her... Sorry we can't help you!!

She was distraught and to this day WILL NOT give any kind of donations to them. She got really upset with me, when I dropped off a bunch of clothes to them. I haven't done that again.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I was single mom, broke with 2 kids as well, but I at least had a roof over my head.

My birthday's on the 25th of November. I'm single, so I love having the family around to help celebrate, as I'm not gonna buy a cake for myself or bake a cake just for myself.

I think it's special, as normal adult birthdays aren't really 'celebrated', but mine can be. With that said, I haven't felt like celebrating for several years, as my Dad died the day before I turned 40. It's now always a remembrance of what I lost.
Awe that's sad. hug My birthday's Dec. 14th and I always got the combined presents and the bday presents wrapped in Xmas wrap..

My dad died on my DD's 16th birthday, I thought it would devastate her, but she said to me... that's okay now Grandpa has the same birthday in Heaven as I do...

Wave

Still here...

We went to the mall and walked around - got some Godiva truffles. Smilie Came home, took a ride on the pony express. Big Grin Just got up from a long nap.

Trying to get inspired enough to go to the store. My toddler is actually asking for some milk, so I suppose I should get some. We rarely drink it, so it's kind of weird that she's asking!

I've been wanting some rhubarb and some cherry pie lately. I don't think I've seen a single rhubarb pie here in TN though. *shrug*

2 people here, super conservative with water, and the bill is more than $50 a month.

Just got a notice in the mail a few days ago that the water rates are going up by 25% OMG

Wow, I popped in to check on Ank and she's still here. You may have to ride the express a few time Coverlaugh

Water bill...Mine averages 39.00 a month including sewer and trash pickup. If I water the lawn a bunch, it's abut 44.00.

I feel like I have my mojo back. Had a great trip at T. Still missing my size soo much but I'm not complaining about all the great deals. Found a pair of Merona sandals I wanted earlier in the summer and got them for 1.89 with the footwear q. Got a couple packs of ladies socks with it too. Picked up DS some Tees with the C9 q. Beeped but k-1'd. Found the cutest pair of denim shorts on clearance for baby and got them for free I think. DD got a diaper bag and a Snugli on clearance, a few baby clothes marked down to 2.00. I finally got some Bic stuff. I still have pencils from last year but at least I know I'll never run out now.

Got Bic razors for DD, more JF for me. I am really going through the weather guard stuff. It works pretty good. Got too much to mention. DD is liking learning to shop with the q's, especially when it comes to diapers.

Went over to the Island and saw a new Publix that is just beautiful. Stopped off for a seafood lunch on Shem Creek. Sat out on the porch and watched the boats come and go. Had fried Grouper and a bowl of black bean soup. It was soooo good. I'm ready for a nap now.

Took a pic of the kids. Thought I'd share it so you all could see DS, since you all shared so many thoughts and prayers for him recently hug He's ALWAYS smiling like this too heart

Sorry to see you Ank. Keep up your spirits.

Bought some boxed oatmeal at T, TQ beeped. Cashier said it isn't a breakfast item. I said 'When would YOU eat it?' Also thought I had to buy cakes to use the bakery tq. Um, no. Will be calling corporate after her comment of 'I decide what coupons you can use.'

OT, but if you don't go to the hot deals forum, like I usually don't, you may have missed it, and today is the last day.

Toys R Us is running a special deal this week, you go in and ask for a special Halo collectors card, which is a coupon for $10 off any Xbox 360 game (though the guy said the game has to be over $15). They are also running a 30% off clearance Xbox 360 games. I just picked up 20 games for less than $40! If the games is $15.98, it costs $1.19 +tax OOP!
Some of the games I got:
Brutal Legend (if you have any Hair Metal or Jack Black fans, this is a good game for them) $1.89
Sega Superstars Tennis (has Sonic) $3.29
007 Quantum of Soloace $3.29
Scene It Bright Lights $3.99 (most expensive game I got, but it's for me)
WWE Legends of WrestleMania $3.29
Ben 10 Alien Force Vilgax Attacks $1.19
Golden Axe Beast Rider $1.89
Turok $1.89
Brave: A Warriors Tale $1.89
MotoGP '08 $1.19
Skate 2 $1.89
Ghostbusters $1.89
Red Alert 3: Command & Conquer $1.89

Just a HU, in case you are near a TRU and need some cheap Christmas presents.

I got a few extra to hold on to for trade-in when Game Stop has some of their bonus bucks for trading in. I'm hoping to get DSi XLs for my kids for Christmas. They've had their regular DSs for about 4 years and have taken pretty good care of them, so they deserve an upgrade.

You and me both! Even though I can't have anymore. But hey, just because the equipment is gone doesn't mean the playgrounds no longer there Roll
