l2b - my mom atually installed a lock on the freezer door because we would sneak the ice cream treats and end up not shutting the door all the way... made for some messes and she got pretty tired of it!

Teri - Comfort Hope tomorrow is much better!!

DH just told me he plans to work a 12 hr shift tomorrow!!! Yikes!!! That's going to be a LONG day for him - and me... I'm definitely doing some shopping. The kids will go bonkers if they are in the house all day!!!
I put one of those toddler cabinet straps, that adhere with double-sided tape, on our fridge in the garage because kids kept slamming the fridge door. They never noticed that it popped the top mount freezer door open. Problem solved for $4.

If it's not Kroger, it'll be Target - in the produce or CBA aisle... laugh out loud

Nope. Not at all LMAO I just got a 20.00 RX cat this weekend. I was going to use it on a prescription I need to get filled for me, but I used it tonight instead. Now, I wish I could get another cat for my prescription. Didn't find anymore markdowns from when I was there this weekend though.

I keep eyeballing this nice microwave that is clearance at 30% right now. Hoping it'll stay on the shelf until it hits 75, but I doubt it.

Teehee I remember last fall being thrilled that I had to get EpiPen prescriptions filled and getting them at T. for the first time and getting GC's. This year I'm not so thrilled as we will already have had them filled there and I doubt they will count since they'll be refillsFrown If I just have the doc. write a new script do they count as 'new' prescriptions and qualify for GC's?? That would be nice.

On the topic of allergies, I take my dd back to the allergist tomorrow AM to see if she is still allergic to blueberries. Pray she isn't as it would make life easier with one less family allergy....and I would have to fork out the $$$ for one less epi prescriptionBig Grin

It should - I've never had an issue with that before, but I guess you never really know until that time...

I keep forgetting to ask for an epi pen RX! It's a darn good thing I haven't needed to use one this year!

Pray your little one is not allergic to blueberries!! hug

I give the pharmacist one of those Qs every time I pick up my birth control and my vitamin D Rx, every single month. I always get the GC. Wink They can't tell you no, if you don't try. Evil

I got bit by a spider and had an immediate allergic reaction. I've also had reactions to morphine. The poison control center operator told me to be sure to get an epi pen for the spider issue.

Have any of you ever used one? That would freak me out.

If you have one - make sure you read the directions way before you need to use it. It's relatively easy - just take off the cap and press into your thigh. A lot of folks say it doesn't hurt, but I personally find it an annoying pinching pain - certainly better than having your throat swell up though!

You may also feel a big "kick" because of the adrenaline. And if you do use it - you should go to the doc/er afterwards. You could still have some reaction going on or adverse affects.

In other news...

I think this babeh needs a spankin'. Seriously... if she's not going to come out on her own, then she ought not be giving me contractions!!!

Yes, the Epi-pen only buys you a short period of time to get to the ER etc.

Ank, my oldest is a September baby, and was a week late. I totally understand your frustration right now. hug

Seriously, you can do that? When I've picked them up they always act like you have to pay there Dontknow How does one go about that? Just tell them you want to pay for it up front and that's it?

Mine has been used ON me several times but I have never had to use it....if I actually ingest bananas my reactions are so quick and severe that I don't have time to get to it. We have to be so so so careful. My coworkers had to use it last time and I remember them repeatedly telling me how easy it was to use. I think I would panic if I ever had to use one on dd; I am really really really really hoping we go tomorrow and she has outgrown it.

In a severe continuing reaction a VERY short period of time. Epinephrine has a half life of under two minutes. Your body uses it up very very quickly. To the ER ASAP.

I had read it was under 6 minutes but couldn't remember the exact number. All the better to have the prescription for the double pack so you have more than one pen on hand. Smilie
