dpags: Any idea if the expanded barcodes will make things better or worse? Or, should I just assume that at T it will probably be worse?
Is it a sign that it is time to take a break from Targeting if you are having dreams about deals? I dreamt last night that someone asked me if I knew of any good deals on razors. I gave her the detailed info on the Schick razors at Target. What is really strange is that I'm not even doing the Schick deal & haven't paid any attention to the deal. I think I need help.
daughter almost 1.
For the past 2 years I've looked for ways to work with him. It's been a search that has always ended with me feeling more lost than when I began looking.
and there's the story of my life. Eat your heart out Dr. Phil.
The problem is, there aren't many doctors, counselors, or specialists of any kind that are all too familiar with SM. We were VERY lucky with this school in that the diagnostician actually has a very close friend whose daughter also has SM. If it wasn't for her, and my own knowledge, he'd have a very difficult educational road ahead of him.
Even at a young age I knew that something just wasn't right. Tanner never slept through the night. And, by that I mean, he would either stay up ALL night or he'd get up a bazillion times a night. The pedi kept saying he'd outgrow it. Everytime I brought it up he'd find a reason. By the time he was 2 and still up all night I knew that wasn't normal. Actually, it took having my 2nd baby to finally see what was normal and what wasn't. He has always had a speech impairment and no amount of speech therapy has really helped. Maturity and repetition is what has helped.
He's very unique. I love him more than my own life. I would do anything for him. I just get so exhausted with his antics and such that I have to blow off steam somewhere.
I feel bad about writing all of this out (and worry about judgement) so please let me know if this isn't the place for it and I'll delete it.
One night I woke to find him sitting on the dining room table with a big can of coffee, throwing coffee grounds all over the room and saying "whee" at the same time
And when he didn't do anything destructive, he would leave me subtle and no-so-subtle hints to let me know he had been up during the night. One of his favorite things to do was open all the blinds in the house, so that when I got up I would wonder 'didn't I close them before bed?" the other was to fill all the glasses with soapy water and put them in the fridge. I thought I would go insane
If you don't laugh you'll cry hey
Oh and the only on topic that I've ever seen mentioned was poop but at any rate - I know I'm not the only one who cares and would not pass judgment. to ya momma.
Ditto !
Wasn't there someone in deals who spent a lot of time making sure they knew about this problem? I'll go back and look....
Found it here.
This is in no way the first time they've been told this.
[QUOTE=meeshecat;32029818]Hi Ladies
I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes for DH... he did great in surgery... although they had to break part of his backbone... makes me cringe thinking about it but he is OK but in pain. Today was a very LONG day (awoke at 2:45am to make sure we could get to the hospital that is an hour and a half away). So we get there and got stuck there until 7ish tonight... I can NOT believe that back surgery is an outpatient procedure... maddness and the chaos the insurance companies have done to our healthcare system... maddness!!
Oupatient? I'm truly geeting terrified of being sick or injured anymore ,due to health care changes
Praying for his recovery and your strenght.
ANK Congrats on Mavis!! AWWW!! Can't wait to see pics of our TCC newest member. Rest lots and HUGS!!
Amil Happy Birthday!!
Mommie and baby are suspected to on there first shopping trip..
Teri Hope your son is OK and is not too sick... does he have pneumonia? HUGS!!
Teri.. Hope he recovers quickly

I was thinking about all you Moms with special needs children last night.
I can't imagine how heartbreaking, frustrating and exhausting your lives all are.
All I can do is give you my utmost respect and admiration for doing your best and loving these children , through what must be some very unlovable behavior.
I had a male child who was diagnosed with ODD (oppsitional definace disorder).
I still refer to it as a million dollar word for strong willed and defianant.
The strain this child, as Teri has said, put atremendous strain on not only my marriage but my relationships with the other children in the household.
I am well aware that this is nothing compared to what you mom's are dealing with on a daily basis.
So rest assured no judgment only a sincere "God Bless" you ALL for perservering.
Please take care of yourselves and take every oppurtunity to get some some support in whatever form it takes., I know sometimes just 15 minutes was all I needed to refresh myself and plunge back in and deal. .:
I thought it was this year it was supposed to be implemented though. For those who asked, basically it's when the stores will start reading the right side of the barcode only, ie...every coupon will be product specific.

Sorry to hear about your challenges with ds, I can relate to some of them. Like the lack of sleep. My ds is four and was always up every 2 to 3 hours like clock work up until recently, he now gets up once or twice a night, the doctors have never had any reason as to why, he never slept through the night as a baby, and the drs didn't seem too concerned either. It was the same with dd until the age of 2 and now she sleeps like a rock.
My ds has had other issues, since around the age of 1 he would have extremely high fevers every month, and would be extremely lethargic for a week sometimes longer, for awhile it was excused as teething, but once all his teeth came in and the fevers did not cease, his dr after conducting a few test finally sent him to a hemoglobin specialist, after passing several blood tests, they finally reached a diagnose for him with a "backdoor treatment" he has a rare blood disorder call FAPSA.
I can totally relate to the not knowing what is wrong with your child, and the aggravation of drs and specialists knowing so very little about the disease its self.
In my ds case, the doctor says most children grow out of this disorder, his fevers are also being controlled now, he takes a dose of steroids when his fever comes and within hours he is back to normal.
But they have yet to figure out how to prevent the fevers all together, and that's probably because so little is known about the disorder itself.
Sorry for long post felt compelled to share my story after reading everyones posts.

She's 7 now, they still have never figured out what is wrong with her, I think it's something with her immune system. She doesn't get fevers as much, it's more once a month now, and luckily the vomiting is mostly gone. But, now she gets migranes. She will start to complain about her head hurting, and usually within 30 mins she is vomiting from pain
Sorry, felt compelled to share my story too. It's nice to have other moms to talk to and understand!
I'm still on my DH's computer, so I don't get to post enough.
In T news- I found some good MQ books on Clorox Mops today, including a $3/2 Amour All. Red Bic Pens were in the BTS mark-down for $.68/ea. Didn't have any TQs with me, but they will probably auto.
A co-worker who is a single mom with 3 kids and lives solely on her T pay was so interested in my Q shopping. She needs all the help she can get, and wants to talk to one of the Team Leads about having me do a Coupon Seminar in the break room one night. Many of the T workers are single-moms and need the help. Plus, the more people who coupon, the better the store gets at understanding.

Well, I guess it had to come out eventually. lol

He actually was doing better this year, he had gone 5 months without a single fever then in may this year they came back and now they average every 3-4 weeks.
I totally sympathize with your insurance woes, my children just lost there benefits in march. I can get insurance from my job but unfortunately it would take about half my check and that's just not something I can afford. My kids were in a government program (not medacaid) but a program to get children coverage for low income families and when I got my new job they cut them, because they claim I make too much.

T has the worst insurance! It would be most of my paycheck, since I'm part-time, and the insurance pays $200, then there is a $4,000 (single) or $8,000 (with kids) deductible before it pays anything else! I was so disappointed, had to wait 6 months, then only get offered that
Good thing is, right after posting earlier, my DH found out that he is officially hired with the bank he has been a contractor with starting this Monday.

Had a VERY strange run today. I was *almost* tempted to test the waters because this had been the last store to get the update and I wasn't sure if it was indeed updated or not. So glad I didn't. Oh my word. Unbelievable transaction. I have NEVER had these issues at ANY Target. BOGO 14s did not auto at all, they beeped INF, and when the cashier hit K1, it took off 0.00. And when he manually put in the price of the item, it required managers approval.
I figured the $2/2 Shout Qs would auto to .97 when I purchased the ones from the travel section, so I figured I'd use 4 coupons, to ensure I got the appropriate amount deducted for 4 items. First 2 Qs scanned at .97, the remaining 2 beeped INF!!! So obviously the register "understood" the coupon required purchase of 2, but still auto'ed down to the price of one item. Not cool. Not cool at all.
I'm sure there were other oddities, but I can't remember what they were. I only brought attention to the BOGO Q with the GSTL, because there's no way I was losing out on that much money. And she still acted as though I was doing something wrong, because *of course* the computer knows what its doing.
Honestly, if all my stores had this update, I wouldn't shop at T except to get my C9.
Anyway, gotta get off here and get some cleaning done!!
Congrats, LTL, on your hubby's new job!! That is AWESOME! We should hear on Friday if hubby's company gets picked to retain their contract - if they do, it *should* mean a better position, which usually means better pay!!!!
