Make sure you check out the Publix thread a little before you move. Lots of great info, it's a great store to shop at, if you can find one that takes TQs (I am lucky enough to have 2 of them around).

Congrats Ank! What a beautiful little girl.
Iagree She's beautiful!

Weird thing in my day (there's a little back story here, so bear with me).
I said sometime last week that I almost felt like a Rockstar because I was getting so much (positive) attention for using coupons at work. One co-worker (who is also the cashier who trained me last year) even told me that she told her daughter that she needs to go shopping with me.

Well, today, I met the daughter. I already knew her, just didn't know that I did. Turns out that her daughter is my DS's Teacher! Shocking

I asked my STL (store manager) if he had heard about the news story. He hadn't, but in frustration he said, "I wish coupons would just go away!" EEK!

Of course, most everyone else doesn't feel that way, thankfully. I printed out some of the good coupons for a co-worker who is struggling right now, and gave them to her while she and a lot of the other ladies (including 2 of our 3 ETLs) were stocking freezer. She was so happy, and I ended up handing out other coupons to everyone else, even the ETLs. They are now trying to organize a "Coupon Seminar" in the breakroom one of these nights.

Unfortunately, my parents know me too well. Big Grin Somehow "housekeeping" was not included in my genes at.all. but thankfully my mother takes me as I am. laugh out loud My MIL, not so much, but that's ok. I know my kids will only be this age once, and I would prefer not to spend all my waking hours cleaning up after them. Although my 5yo has managed to keep his room somewhat respectable since I spent all Thursday morning cleaning it, so maybe there is hope!

Ran errands this morning, getting tons of junk out of the house. I heart dropping stuff off at the shelter. They're a small shelter, don't get much publicity, not run by any big names or anything, so they are so grateful when they get my 900 boxes of cereal, 250 boxes of Pop-Tarts, 700 bottles of Kraft dressing, etc. (slight exaggeration on the amounts... Big Grin)

Anyone have any input/experience in taking Ester-C? I got the To Go boxes from Rite Aid, and am contemplating trying them. With my son starting school, I'm anticipating lots of yucky germies, and am looking at different ways to build up my immune system. Any thoughts?

OK, time to stop stalling and get busy! Making homemade pizza for dinner tonight, and probably some cinnamon rolls/sticky buns for breakfast tomorrow.

Fabulous Friday to all!!!!

Anyone done the Day Out with Thomas? We're going to Hershey Park in a few weeks and I just found tonight that the Thomas event will be in Strasburg, about 50 miles away, during that same week. It's monkey toddler's birthday that week and I couldn't think of a better present. We've wanted to go for years, since my now 8 yr old was a toddler, but it was never close enough or we didn't have the funds. Now we'll be right there and by golly I'll sell everything I haven't already sold in our round of yard sales to cover the costs. lol

Need some kind of good news after finding out the bridge to replace the tooth I had pulled last week will cost $4000. And I have to have it done or all my teeth on the left will shift.Frown
Go, if you can! We always try to make it down there but can't this year. They usually have one in early June and mid Sept every year. It is a lot of fun and worth it just to see the faces on all the little kids when Thomas pulls in. IIRC it isn't too expensive either. Maybe $30-$40 for the whole family to go on the train ride.

Funny. I think some of your posts yesterday (all of which I loved!) are confusing people, making them think we have a secret Target language.
I just can't help myself, its so hard not to screw with the noobs especially with this mess there all flippin' out and that makes it so much more fun. I even saw Tamales. Asking what "Chef Barney style" was lol sent em a pm that was just some of last weeks silliness Rofl2

All this tomas talk sounds fun, too bad its so far.

Vegas sux for kid friendly attractions. There's not much to do here, I can't wait to get out Of vegas. Were hoping to move out of state within the next two years, either going home to cali, or were looking at a few other states, texas, washington, oregon, we even talked about alaska! They have target there lol

hug If you read the deals thread, it's the end of the world and Target.

Glad you are home, hopefully you can get some rest, the first few weeks to a month are the hardest, at least for me they are. All my babies wanted to nurse every hour and a half to two hours non stop night or day.

DH has always loved trains, his dad built him a huge train track table. Neither of our girls seem interested at all but our new lil man has really taken to cars, trucks, trains, and anything like that that goes. He is already trying to ride his sister's scooter.

bounce for losing weight! I have some left to go before I am back where I want to be. You just gotta focus on the numbers lost going up, it all makes a difference.

Went to target and when my colgate scanned .88 cents she said "well that isn't right." I said "yeah, it's been doing that." She said "Target wasn't aware of it but we are now." We talked about the news stories and their new work bench memo about watching the coupons. She tried to act like this was the first time it has happened but she wasn't a good liar. She adjusted all off my coupons to take off the correct amount. She said she doesn't think it's fair that target is being forced to change this when "so many people use coupons in this very store fraudulently." When I asked her what she meant she said "they use coupons then return the stuff." I told her that they are reimbursed for those coupons so what's the difference? Of course her answer was "I"m just saying what was told to me." I told her she shouldn't be so quick to make sweeping assumptions like that because someone might take offense.

Went outside to load up my stuff and the kids and someone took something sharp and scratched the passenger side (tail light to the headlight) of my car.

The cop that took the police report said the minimum damage he was estimating (I guess for police report reasons) was 1500.00.

Okay, I was going to *try* to "catch up", but seriously - pfft...

Deals - Blowup Wish they'd shut up about trying to make mpp's - T could really take their toys and go home big time if they wanted. *sigh* Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Oh my goodness... I thought I was losing my mind last night. I guess I just need to accept that this is how this baby is going to be!!!

Even with as much as she is nursing, I am fighting engorgement ALLLLLL DAY long. I was in tears last night - I couldn't get her to latch very well and I was so sore! I think I may need to pick up a small pump or something to help out. (And it's funny how I"m now almost wishing my toddler WAS still nursing... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) )

I forgot how thirsty nursing makes you in the beginning!

I need to look for nursing bras - has anyone noticed if the gillian ones are still at T? I kind of liked the look of those - and since we have some q's expiring tomorrow, figured a trip to T would be a good idea.

Overall, I think things are going pretty smoothly. Everyone is a little shorter tempered and out of sorts from excitement and lack of sleep. I have no idea how to balance things and make 'em run smoothly! Thankfully, we've had lots of people asking if they could bring us a meal and whatnot - so I have just said "sure..." and rolled with it. Smilie

Aww, thanks everyone! I had forgotten that I even mentioned the weight loss.. It hasn't been easy this time around, but it is coming off. I still have a TON to go though! Won't even try to quote everyone who congratulated me.. but thanks to each one of ya!hug

Ank- you definitely did the quick weight loss method losing 20 pounds or so at onceWink But that is a painful way to lose weight too!

Can't remember who asked about the diet.. but, I have been doing low carb.. I lost over 100 pounds about 6 years ago and kept it off for several years.. then pregnancy x 2 got me along with hypothyroidism.. Gained all that weight backFrown But, I am back on track and plugging along. I need to get my exercise routine going.. but this stupid heat and humidity kills any desire I have to work out..

Ank- sorry about the BF woes.. I remember always being so sore the first 2 weeks or so.. But, I wouldn't have traded nursing my babies for anything. It was alot of times very challenging though.

Dec- How are you feeling these days??

Dreem- Sorry about your car.. That really sucks that someone would do that. What do people think these days?hug

I have posted this in the trading forum with no responses - I was wondering if anyone here would be interested since these were such a great deal at Target a month or so ago. I have 4 Didj games: High School Musical, Sonic, Super Chicks, and Android Invasion. I would like to trade for any of the following Didj titles: Neopets, Spongebob Fists of Foam, Fosters, or Indiana Jones. Thanks! Kelly

I want to go post a bogus message in the deals forum so badly! Something like, "I heard from my STL today that he got a workbench message that after the current Target coupons expire, they are not going to put out any more. What's out there now, is all there will ever be. He also told me they are considering not accepting coupons at all anymore after the 1st of the year."

Then just watch the deals forum Blowup

Maybe I could post a j/k Stick Out Tongue next time I'm in the deals forum, which may not be till tomorrow

Edit: added info
Had a(nother) trip to T after I picked up the kids. I had to go to Athens to pick up my prescription. I found some Michael Graves electric vegetable peelers for 75% off. I picked up 3, 1 for me and 2 for gifts. They work ok, but you still have to move the peeler the same way you would anyways, it's just a little easier to do. They were $9.99, now $2.48.

I finally found some of the elusive $3.24 Merona Flip Flops. Only in a size 5, but they fit my 7-year-old DD (she's big for her age), and they should fit her next year too. They are a little big, but with flip flops, it doesn't really matter. Also had some cute Merona Mary Janes with a strap for $6.24 - so $3.24 AC.

Paul Frank girls PJ's were $3.24. For some reason, they had a rack out with a bunch of clearance girls clothes pushed to the side. It looks like they were clearance items that were maybe mixed in and missed during mark-downs on Mondays.

I will post DPCIs and pics after we eat dinner.
