OK, dh came home and did his manly caveman thing, lol. The critter was still under the box lid, thank goodness. It was little, no longer than 7 or 8 inches, but def a snake, based on the triangular head and tapered tail.

Then of course, dh HAS to tell me that based on the size, he thinks it's a baby snake, which can only mean.........LALALALALALALA..........

Hey maybe the Mama is elsewhere and the lil one got lost on his/her way home??? I am wishing you good thoughts! Just think positively --- if it is a grass snake they are cute & don't bite much!

Oh and I forgot ----- on the writing subject ----- whatever material/supplies you use when giving the lines for your kiddo to write the letter make sure that you are not having your kiddo write more than a couple of letters before there is another proper example. They tend to look at the letter just before the one they are writing so if there has only been one example at the beginning of the line by the time they get to the end of the line the letter might look really off as they are looking at the one before that has a lot of mistakes. So I would write something like this

A (space for 1 copy by child) A (space for 1 copy by child) A (space for 1 copy) etc.

AS they improve I would leave space for 2 and then 3 and then 4 etc.

Teri ----- maybe that is how it should be. Wink

I thought the SCO's did not work with coupons over $1?
To have a mgr. override-free run at WM SCO you need: $10 or less PER coupon value; 10 or less total coupons; OR $20 or less total coupon value.

I think Walmarts can set up their own rules at SCO. My SCO at Walmart allows you to scan your own coupons, but they can't be accepted and go to the next Q until the guardian comes over and plunks at the computer screen for 2+ minutes for each and every Q. So not worth it to even try to SCO here (Sparkman for locals).

Thank you for the compliment - I really do care about people and there is nothing better that when people get good news, super life-happenings, and/or fantastic deals Smilie

I meant what I said

Look - I am sorry that don't know you by name and I do not personally have issue with you. I take issue with some of what is said and let me explain. If one starts from the premise that one must not say things which cause distress for some then this board shold close down entirely. Regardless of the thread, topic, or poster --- somewhere along the line distress can/will be caused. I do not believe in presenting an unrealistic view of the world to my children & I won't for adults online ... the world is not a perpetual garden of sunshine & roses. There is good & bad and there will be people/jokes/things which we like & those which we do not. Deal with it or remove yourself from the situation -

Ya know I respect where you are coming from but I do disagree. I don't see any reason to start a false rumor on a public board. While I agree about not presenting an unrealistic view of the world to my children, I will teach my children to treat people (even online) as they would want to be treated. There are bad people in the world but look for the good where you can. I don't want them to cause anyone distress and in order for me to teach them, I have got to set the example

I have been a single teen parent of two children - I understand food stamps - food banks - shopping at garage sales & goodwill ---- I understand having to look at your children and explain that you will be eating PB&J because that is ALL THAT YOU HAVE! I understand working 2 jobs at once -- I understand having an abusive partner and leaving so that the children do not learn that is ok EVER ... I understand being one person and feeling overwhelmed but you struggle on ... I get it. I do not wish anyone ill - I only wish them well & I can tell you that my thoughts & prayers go out to those who are in trouble .... I hope that things improve and that they get to a point where the struggles in life are different (struggles in life are never gone ... they just change Smilie ) If I had a magic wand I would love to help everyone in need - I hate hate hate seeing others suffering - but life just doesn't work that way. I help those I can wherever I can ---- but that doesn't diminish the importance of being able to laugh (at onself/difficulties/disagreements/life iteself.)

I really hate to hear that you and your children had to go through this. It sounds as if you and they are stronger for it. Hoping nothing but good wishes from here on out. I agree it is good to laugh, just not at others expense

*snip

I think your response which could certainly be construed as haughty indignation in the guise of defending the weak, timid, and mentally challenged rubs some the wrong way ... I would think you might expect that (especially in light of the fact that you say that you have been around a long time.)

You are right that I did come across haughty. Honestly not as haughty as many of the responses in the deals, but that doesn't make it right. I did know what kind of response I would get too. I just said a little prayer and dove right in. In hind sight I could have used a different tone, but I was preparing a little too much and soonlaugh out loud

Now have to go and do some searching ... who is duncansdeals??? LOL

I am not Ducandeals. Don't know who that is. Hope I didn't cause him any trouble! LMAO

I bet Ank & Mavis are snuggling Smilie
I hope Mavis's bilirubin level isn't high. I hope and pray they are snuggling

Eekkkk!! Our laundry room is in the basement also but we haven't had a snake... yet. Did have some lizards lurking at the bottom of the stairs one day. Just the thought of a snake in the house makes me shiver.

Where have I been that Mavis' bilirubin is high and only the newbs/lurkers/regulars with new usernames know about it?

No, sadly, I am not but it was a small town one and we really just wanted to see how it would go before committing to one with more traffic. Oddly (or maybe y'all already knew this) around here, the garage sales sell all the baby/kid crap and the flea markets sold stockpile stuff. Strange how the two don't really mix.

I *think* b/c you'd need two LIKE coupons in the same family at $10 each that you can only do one per transaction.
