In all fairness...I shop for my local food pantry. So let's say that Shaw's has cake mix on sale and I can score a good deal. I talk with the manager, tell her I would 300 boxes and I have q's. She usually tells me, no problem, I will order from the warehouse and call you when they come in. She knows that we do this for the food pantry. When they come in, I go in, they open a separate lane and I stand there buying all 300 with my coupons. Then the guys from the pantry load it up. I actually showed my food pantry how to shop with coupons. They asked the church parishoners to donate their Sunday coupons and they do and I get 1/3 of them each week. We have several shoppers from the food pantry who shop based up what I tell them we should do. Typically the other shoppers only shop for food. I shop for food and drug store items. I keep what we will use and then send the rest to the pantry for the clients. Works out very well and makes me feel good that I am helping someone less fortunate.
That's fantastic!

I recently read a magazine article about a church that's doing that. Was that about you? If not, then there's more than one church doing it. That is such a great way to keep a pantry full.

Ugh, today is Carly's school picture day. Why do schools need the form AND the money turned in before you see the pictures? What if they are bad? (not that my adorable child could ever take a bad picture lol) and they are so expensive too! $45 for 18 wallets and 2
5 x 7's! EEK!

That wasn't me, but we have been in our local newspaper and our state newspaper. I didn't want to do it, but I had too. It was like spreading the word, that if I can use coupons, you can to.

We never buy the school picture, just the class picture. They typically do allow a do over if you are not satisfied.

Ugh, it makes me want to vomit every time I see the prices for professional photos....not that professionals shouldn't make money on their work but STILL! My brother is a pro photographer; he and I take all of my dd's pics. I order from professional, higher-end photo labs a lot and the price of all of that stuff you mentioned is definitely less than $5...sometimes the pro lab prices are even cheaper than Walgreens, Target, Shutterfly, etc...Annoyed That's like a 900% mark-up!

DS missed his school pictures this year, they take them before school starts at registration. I thought, no problem, they have a make-up day. Yeah, missed that too, actually they took his picture for his ID (high school) but I'm not paying for pictures with what he is wearing! May take him to Target or something just to get some for relatives.

Yeah, that's what I was going to suggest -- either do it your self or take her to Target. I'm pretty sure you have a coupon! laugh out loud

My daughter's best friend took her senior pictures. Her camera (digital) camera is better than mine plus it's a whole lot more fun to run around taking pictures with your friend than your mother. They did it one weekend we were gone. I came back to over 300 pics and they were wonderful.

They went to a neat old abandoned bridge on a river, to a lake, out in our yard, against a brick building, to an empty house we owned. We were painting it was all white primer and they tossed a white comforter on the floor and took formal floor length dress shots. Then just for shock value, right in the middles of all these nice shots they threw in a couple of her in a bikini with our 1973 Duster. We used them for grad announcements, made wallets, and I made a big photo book for her and 2 smaller ones for the grandparents. Geez, I think it was under $50 for all of it.

No pictures in my Target Frown. Sears and JC Penneys is expensive too. Oh well, I am praying these are good because they are going in the Christmas cards either way! laugh out loud

Yep, that was me. Thanks! I can't believe I am almost out. I was so stocked up with the MH TQ. I hope we get a good coupon soon.
Jilly--have you tried the "Joe" flavor of coffee at Trader Joe's? We buy it 6 cans at a time every time we come up to St. Louis. It's only 3.xx a can and we LOVE it!! It's not free, but it's cheap and super yummy!
