LTL, do you shop at the store you work at? Just wondered. Seems like they'd know you and never hassle you!
I do if I'm there, and no, I don't get hassled at all, I can't imagine why laugh out loud (Considering I am the foremost expert at the store on coupons nod )

On my days off, I usually end up at the Athens store instead, since it's a bigger store and there is usually other places I need to go that are in Athens.

I really don't have problems at any stores, not even Branson,MO when I was there. After they see my TM Discount Card, and I make a few comments and helpful tips about cashiering, no problems what-so-ever Big Grin (knock on wood)

Ok, I had to share this. Rofl2

The logistics ETL (and my TL's boss, and was my direct boss for the first 7 months of work, because we had no TL) is a jerk.

This is in the Wiki How-To of the Day (I have the "gadget" on my iGoogle page). It's what a bad manager may do:

Quote :
A manager who is not supportive of staff and works to undermine staff, or who even steals the glory for work completed well by others.
# A manager who is deceitful and either lies about performance of workers, or omits to praise or point out when work is done well.
# A manager who threatens excessive or inappropriate outcomes for work not completed on time, or in a certain manner.
# A manager who doesn't take responsibility for errors but uses workers as scapegoats and blames staff when things go wrong.[3]
# A manager who practices favoritism in the work place, setting some workers above others for no apparent reason.
# A manager who publicly humiliates, condescends, demeans, verbally attacks, or name calls staff.
# A manager who hasn't got the slightest interest in your personal life, and goes so far as to not support you when you have family crises or other personal issues that need attending to during work time.
# A manager who acts superior all the time, believing their own abilities far above anyone else's, and expects everyone to snap to attention, or else.
He does every single one of these! He's very moody, and will just go off on a tangent sometimes.

About a month ago, he had a "huddle" with us, and told us that we needed to move faster, and conform to his ideas of what our team should be. And, if we don't, he will find something on each and every one of us, and start firing us. Most of the team found this very funny, because even though he is ex-military and can seem scary, we know that he has these "mood swings". I wish I could have pulled out my phone and recorded it, it would have made a great viral YouTube video! laugh out loud

A few days later, we had to have another huddle, and he "apologized" to most of us (ironically, the people who complained anonymously were not at the huddle) with the HR ETL standing there. His apology was, "I thought I could talk to you as adults, but apparently I can't. I will have to find another way to communicate with you, and you WON'T like it!" So, his apology ended up being a threat too. He's like a 2-year-old throwing a fit, and "taking his toys and going home!" He fits into T perfectly that way!

All the picture talk has made me remember how slack I have been. I haven't had any professional pictures made of my youngest in well over a year.. I have so many of number one, quite a few of number two, a fair amount of number three, and the youngest has only had professional pics made 2 or 3 times.. I need to add that to my to do list.

Had an inhouse demo last night for a rainbow vaccuum and air purifier.. I just did the demo to help out a friend who is selling them and to get a free 2 night hotel offer.. but I fell in love with the thing. You should see all of the gross stuff it got out of my carpets, furniture, and the airvomit But sadly, there is no way it is in my budget right nowMad

Well, off to be productive I suppose.. Have a great day everyone!
I'm embarrassed to admit that unless pictures with Santa and the Easter Bunny count. we haven't had any professional pictures of the youngest done. He's almost 3. Embarrassment

Oh, and the shirt I ordered for his birthday off Etsy arrived today. The seller even sent a matching Thomas the tank engine magnet with monkey's name on it. Big Grin

Cute idea with shirt , are you happy with it ?

As for the pics ,if you have a decent digital , to tell you the truth the" home-grown "ones are usually cuter IMO, as they really show the kids personality.

Thanks for the warm wishes, I hope dd does well, she is alot like your dd over acheiver teachers pet, etc. she was so ready for summer to end so she could go back to school, she is the only kid I know who wants summer to go by faster so she can get back to school LMAO. She was tested in 2nd grade and she was reading at a 6th grade level, and has always had all A' s. SCOPE sounds alot like GATE, In the letter I received she has to score in the 98 percentile and above, anything below requires additional testing. Im not exactly sure what kinds of tests these are, I guess I will find out once they schedule the testing. Im excited, and she is too.

Any insight would be helpful, Barney style please Stick Out Tongue

The WISC IV is a standard IQ test (there a couple widely used ones-this is just the one we use). Determining giftedness with an IQ score works like this:

IQs generally fall on a standard bell curve-the vast majority of us fall in the middle. A small percentage fall below the "normal" curve (I hate that word, but it works I guess) and a small percentage fall above it. Those above it fall into the "gifted" category (generally an IQ in the high 120s is the low end of the "gifted" scale-IQs over 150ish are "highly gifted" and so on).

Here's the part most people don't realize: when a person falls in either "outside" range of a normal IQ, he/she quite possibly has a whole host of other traits/issues. Most people realize this is true of people with very low IQs, but many don't realize that it is true for those with very high IQs. The gifted kids we serve OFTEN have issues with social interaction, self-identity, perfectionism, depression, and a million other issues directly linked to their giftedness. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about giftedness and the biggest is that gifted programs are some kind of elite club for kids that are better than anyone else. The truth is our program (and most gifted programs) are intervention programs designed to help nurture our kids' gifts, but at the same time, help them develop strategies for coping with the affective needs that often accompany those gifts.

In one of my graduate classes, it was explained this way-The kid who has an IQ 50 points above the middle of that bell curve is just as far from "normal" as a kid that falls 50 points below it. That was a powerful realization for me.

Hope that helps!

And to completely change the subject--a little product review.

Has anyone ever tried Color Oops to remove hair dye? I dyed my hair a horrible shade of red (thanks to the awesome deal on Natural Instincts at Target the past several weeks). Anyway, I let it be for 3 days and then I just couldn't take it anymore. Bought Color Oops and now my hair is totally back to normal-it seems to have removed all of the artificial dye from my hair (even the color from before the red incident).

Awesome, awesome stuff!!

It took everything I had to not go into Target earlier. *sigh* I left my oatmeal coupons at home so I figured I'd wait. Besides, I guess paying rent was technically more important. Gotta have somewhere to store all this shit.

Hope you are all having fun today!

Better now. I felt like absolute crap this morning but I forced myself to eat a sandwich and drink some juice. It's not before I eat that sucks, it's after. I was good and ate a 6 inch (Subway) turked on whole weat with lettuce and tomatoe. No cheese. No dressing. Then I drank apple juice and ate a banana. I feel better now but OMG the exhaustion is insane. I don't know if it's the not feeling well or the stupid dramamine. I can't stop taking it because it helps the dizziness and nausea somewhat.

Ugh. I just wanna be normal again. Many many times I catch myself almost in tears because I just don't get it. How did I go from active and happy to unable to do anything anymore? Just walking to the kitchen and back takes a LOT out of me.

Waitng on the damn doctor to call me back so I can go get labs done. Mad

sorry to ramble...

You have been a great help for me with the subject. hug Tomorrow is Open House, so I am taking the "enforcer" (DH) to see if we can get some answers!

(side note: In my house, if someone is a little slow thinking, we say they are "dinosaur special". My DS has a RoboRaptor he got years ago for Chrismtas, and one night he was playing with it in the kitchen, and no matter what he would do, all it would do is bang it's head against the refrigerator over and over, much like this Head Bang )

This baby just had the worst explosive poop I can ever remember seeing in a newborn. I swear there was more outside her diaper than in it!!

Thank you for the insight, except now you have me a bit concerned, I hope they are testing dd for being advanced and not for having developmental issues, although I don't see why they would think she does? She doesn't suffer from anything u mentioned so I'm probably worried for nothing, as usual.

Mamaoftwins hope u are feeling better soon hug
