Stick with making her clean everything up and then don't let her do anything. Park her ass on a chair and make her stay there -- like all day -- no toys, no tv, other kids not allowed to talk to her. Lock down!
Start taking stuff away too. If you aren't old enough to use the potty you aren't old enough to have a ________ .
Geez, I feel for ya.
My daughter was 4 (I think) and I was still wiping her butt when she pooped. I would patiently explain to her and show her how to tell if she was clean and next time she pooped I would hear, "Moooo-ooomy, come wipe me". So, again with the explanation when she promptly told, "that's acky and I'm NEVER gonna do that".
Any of you have one child with potty training issues? I am at my witts end with my daughter and need some advice. She doesn't poop her pants at school but does at home every sinly time she poops. She will go pee in the potty and poop in her pants. Not only does she do that but she has now resorted to pooping and then wiping it on the floor. We steam clean the carpet at least twice a day.
We've tried talking to her, rewarding her, time-out, spanking, loss of TV, and genuine "you are a big girl now" talking. She isn't afraid of the potty because every once in a blue moon she will have one full day where she poops in the potty.
I've thrown away so many pairs of panties it's embarassing. I'm just wanting to rip my hair out in frustration.
She gets the scrub brush and hot soapy water first. Then she gets the steam cleaner and does it. The only thing I do is fill it up with hot water and the cleaning stuff.
WTH is wrong with my child? I swear it's laziness but cleaning up the mess is more work than just pooping in the potty.
And I can't tell you how many times she has gotten mad at me or DH and poop her pants. It's almost like out of spite.
Personally, if it were my kid, I would first try taking her pants/undies away completely while at home....maybe compensate by letting her wear a longer shirt or nightgown at home since she is older. And if she still likes making a mess on *herself* then I would probably watch her like a hawk, try to catch her when she needs to go and be very clear that the proper place to go is the toilet....even if it means physically taking her there. If she is doing it right @ school she should be able to do it right at home. You just might have to become her shadow so she literally cannot do it anymore
You just need to find out what her currency is. What is it that she really, really loves... and then snatch whatever it is away and flush it down the toilet right in front of her the next time she pulls that crap.
And anyone do the Pop Tart codes? I have some of those, too.
