I always retreat to the bedroom if I don't like what he is watching, and it would be nice if occasionally he wouldn't give me shit for wanting it to happen the other way around.
Every single time he wants to play his video game (downstairs, of course) I get banished to the bedroom if I want to watch TV. Every single time he wants to watch a certain show that I don't like, I'm the one who has to go upstairs and watch TV because he has to watch his show on the good TV downstairs.
Colts/Giants is on TV. Boardwalk Empire premieres on HBO tonight. He seriously just gave me shit for asking him to go upstairs and watch that (which is being DVR'd anyways) so I can watch football on the nice TV with surround sound downstairs. He gave me shit! Seriously?! We are recording Boardwalk Empire, and you can watch it later tonight, or tomorrow night, or any night you farking want. I have 2 fantasy leagues going and 4 players playing tonight. I want to watch farking football downstairs on the nice farking TV with the farking surround sound.
When I told him to do whatever the fark he wanted and stormed upstairs with my laptop and a beer, he had the audacity to ask what my problem was.
Oh, and this all happened within 10 minutes of me saying, "Honey, dinner is ready and on the stove for you." I met my father for dinner at 5pm, but I still cooked my husband dinner even though I had already eaten dinner tonight.

Nothing against it, but I just haven't ever been into. I mean I will go to a college game and drink...or even go to a bar and watch a game if it is on there, but it doesn't hold my attention long. I keep saying I just need to bet or something to get interested in football.
But given all that even I get you wanting to watch the game LIVE, and if the other show is going to dvr'd, then I would be

I read jme is more upset that he can't do more of the giving than taking, and that he should think of what she wants, occasionally.
Again, people often argue over the way something makes them feel, not just the action itself.
So tell him why it upsets you jme...

and you're right. we aren't arguing about the action. i'm getting angry with the way he seems to treat me sometimes. in this situation (which happens maybe once or twice a week at most), i am always the one who offers to go upstairs to the bedroom to watch my show. he has never done that. i'm not kidding either. he has never come upstairs to watch his shows. so i'm annoyed and frustrated that i was forced to do it once again. i suppose if i hadn't just cooked him dinner (when i wasn't even eating), then i probably wouldn't have gotten as annoyed.
i'm pretty much over it, my Colts are shutting out the Giants, and i've had many many beers to calm me down.
but he still isn't getting any tonight.
