Holy crap, why is everything like a bright shade of tangerine? OMG

Reminds me of the house my uncle got where they walked inside, and all the walls, the trim, everything was like, florescent green. laugh out loud Took them a couple of weeks to repaint over it all. LMAO

Yeah, no kidding. Plus all the costs that come with owning a house. You could be there six weeks, and the roof starts leaking or something needs to be replaced, and boom, you gotta shell out two thousand dollars.

I know...I looked in the windows and I was like "why the fark is it so orange???" laugh out loud

The only upside to owning a house is our rent now is around $1k a month + utilities then split(kinda) between 4 people

We're looking for a finished basement so one of our roommates can move with us for now, which will help offset the cost even that much more but as it looks buying will still be right around the same me and the bf are paying to rent if not a little bit cheaper

So... what happens if you buy a house, and then a roommate bails on you? You're on the hook for the mortgage... and they're not?

What are you gonna do? Do you have enough money to cover that?

So, what kinda property taxes are you paying on your apartment? What's your homeowner's insurance look like? How many ordinances do you follow and how many tools do you own to keep your house up to par with the city ordinances? Are you gonna be in a HOA and have to pay dues? Are you gonna make your roommates sign a lease so that they're bound to stay in your house and pay rent by contract, and they can't just bail on you?

Etc...

Yeah, we're going to buy a house that we can afford without him
He doesn't have to move in, we're just giving him that option if he likes

We live in a house now...our taxes are fixed into our rent. And we own or can acquire any tool we need for the house (bf's dad and brother are building his brother's house right now by themselves). We refuse to live in a HOA, not worth the hassle in our opinion.

We've actually put thought into this, and it's not something we're just jumping into. Our lease isn't up for another 8 months, we're just getting an idea of what's around for now.

Renting a house is not the same as owning a house. And you can acquire lawn mowers and other yard tools from people building a house? Hmm...

What about the cost of maintaining a home? That's not factored into rent. What if you have to shell out a couple thousand dollars to fix a plumbing problem?

You've basically told us over and over that you're broke, and you can't even currently afford to go to school, but you want to buy a house?! That sounds a little reckless, at best...

We own a brand new lawn mower and yard tools laugh out loud
We do take care of the house ourself here...I've seen the landlord once and that was because of a leaking air conditioner

So if you're the homeowner now... what about the leaking air conditioner? If that was going to cost several hundred dollars to fix, could you afford it?

NI, you've basically told us you're broke, and you can't afford this and that, etc. - so telling us now that you're looking at buying a house... well, you do the math.

I've said I can't afford to go to school with out of state tuition prices. I'm still considered out of state until next summer.

And once you go back to school, you said that you can't hold a job at the same time, and your boyfriend's gonna be paying for everything.

He's gonna be able to pay off a house, and all the bills on his own?

Yeah, and you've also told us that you're basically banking on pell grants to pay for your schooling. Someone that is relying solely on government funding for their college education does NOT sound like someone that's financially secure enough to purchase a house.
