It's flooding Whee

So far so good though. I live in a townhouse with a good sized lake behind our house. In 07 this complex was flooded with over 5 feet of water after a good rainfall.

We had 5 inches of rain dumped on us last night alone.

Hopefully we don't have to start building an ark soon..
Holy cats infestina!! I hope you don't float away!!

I wouldn't have anyone left to have jelly donuts with!

My typical menus are probably very bland and boring to most of you.

I'm listening to the soundtracks right now, actually...

The song you're thinking of is Jace Everett - "Bad Things".

The opening credits for True Blood are actually REALLY good.

I think I'll leave most of the Deep Thrust duties to Prot - but just on this one!!!

Not for lack of desire but because he's obviously gotten very lucky and it may not ever happen again if I ruin it for him!!!

Ah well, it's just a personal preference, I guess. I only ever watch them on DVD, because we don't have cable/HBO, so I'd just rather skip to the show anyways. Smilie

I do a lot of fresh (salads) and streamed local vegetables I get on the cheap from farmer's markets and produce outlets. With minimal seasonings. Usually just some salt and pepper to taste or some fresh herbs. Occasionally a tiny splash of olive oil on the right kind of veggies!

I like rices but in small quantities. Brown especially and some medium grain rices. Sometimes dinner is just a little rice and the aforementioned veggies!!

For protein I do skinless chicken and turkey breasts a lot. I have an indoor grill on the range that's perfect for that, or broiled or baked. Again pretty light on the seasonings with herbs and salt/pepper. No heavy sauces/gravies usually. I don't do a lot of marination. To me it just seems unnecessary!!

I do fishes too! Those Tilapia shots FD posted made me drool. Yellowfin Tuna too. Either usually broiled or on the indoor grill. With lemon and some fresh herbs and either of them are great to me!

I do red meat too obviously! My roast beef rivals Mal's. Sometimes steak too but usually only higher end stuff. The cheaper cuts are great when you have to feed a lot of people but when it's just me I buy small quantities or bulk and freeze high end stuff like filet.

I do eat potatoes but not often "mashed". Usually just plain and baked to me is great!! All kinds of different potatoes too. A handful of those baby Yukon Golds or a few fingerlings to me is perfect!

I cook for servings of three to four sized portions then use left overs a lot.

No high end stuff here. Everything is really simple and clean and towards the healthier end.

Pretty boring right?
