Okay, diet thread doesn't have an instant notification option for me. Has a daily or weekly or none option only. All other theads, I get automatically subscribed to and get instant updates, but this one is different.

Did you do it on the home page of the group? If you do it there you only get the options you listed.

If you click on the chit chat thread and do it there, you will get the option for instant. You have to actually be IN the thread.

I've been using it a year, and my cat's haven't died yet. I think it's all the same, baking soda and some smelly stuff. Dontknow

Maybe it's your browser? I'm in FireFox. The only options I have when I hit subscribe are "no email" or instant email" when I'm in the thread. That is weird.
