Yeah, there's just nothing that compares to homemade pizza yummy We technically don't *completely* make our own homemade....I use a pre-mixed crust packet that you mix with water for that because I just really cannot afford the time to make the 'real' stuff....and we don't even have room here for a bread machineFrown But it works OK, and much more healthy!

Tried one of those AF frozen pizzas today and it wasn't half-bad compared to some of the frozen ones! I didn't think the calories were too bad either if you stuck to a couple pieces. I was good. I didn't really go out with a bang last week when I started eating better....just finished up a few not-as-healthy things we had in the house so I wouldn't be tempted this week Smilie

On the topic of getting rid of stuff....dh has actually started hiding things from me. They will have sat around for months, years, etc. not being used --- we are talking old, old stuff....an oil lamp, an old microwave, stuff that was just generally covered in grime and grossness that we did not need in our house. I'd ask him to get rid of it, he'd hem and haw around, pretty soon I'd get Mad about it and he'd get rid of it -- or so I thought. Ended up that I started finding things in the garage months later Annoyed And that was the point at which I started learning to get rid of it myself and be done. If it were up to him our house would be FULL of junk. Let's just say he was taught to live this way. shake head I truly loooooove my in-laws, all of them, but they're the same way. When I can get so much stuff for free/cheap there is no reason to hold onto stuff we aren't ever using!

He had a feather pillow that was past its prime once....and one day I went to get the Dryel bag and it was FULL of feathers! Whaaa?! He was keeping them 'because they were good feathers' and he was going to make another pillowHuh I kept wondering why I was finding random feathers all over my basement!

I told my husband that I was starting the diet tomorrow... along with about 20 other slickdealers. He said if we put down our computers and got some exercise it would help. The whole time he was laughing hysterically. Then he wanted to know how we would stop each other from eating the candy bars in our purses.
(Just need to add, he is kidding, doesn't give a shit about my weight and has never ever said one word about and truly doesn't care. Course, he could stand a lose a few too!) Oh yeah, and do you know what else he did? He asked for PEAS.vomit He eat vegetables without even being on a diet! It's crazy!

Anyway, for supper I even though I didn't have any boneless pork chops in the freezer I did dig out the center cut bone in chops and cut the bone off, pounded them out -- yes, I was pounding the pork -- breaded and fried them. So, I did get my tenderloin after all. Along with some clearance Jalapeno Poppers from, you guessed it, Target.

The down side is, that I am actually kind of sick to my stomach and was before supper so it put a damper on it. I think it was the bag of doughnuts and Smarties.

Evening everyone.. we made it home from the beach.. already unpacked, and my DH has most of the laundry finished Smilie

I need an invite for the diet club tooWink I started out with a one day cheat and ended up with a week long derail.. I am afraid of gaining back the 35 pounds I have lost. At this point, I don't even want to get on the scales.. Tonight I am not splurging big, but am about to eat some bagel bitesBig Grin Back to the plan tomorrow.. Gotta go shopping for some veggies though.

We had a great trip, but I am glad to be home in my bed tonight..

Teri - hope your DS gets to go home soon.. glad to hear he is doing better.

Ank- How is Ms Mavis and her cold today?

I feel so out of touch with the deals at other stores. Our hotel had the most lame wifi signal ever..
Anyone want to give me a quick run down of what I have to get at Publix or Kroger this week? I need to catch up with the threads, but it is gonna take awhile!Embarrassment

And OMG, that picture from walmart made me think about all the weird things I saw at the beach this week.. What is wrong with people.. so many old folks in bikinis.. and people who were way to big to wear them.. So tired of seeing so much skin. This teenage girl last night was in the lazy river and her boobs kept popping out of her topOMG And last but not least.. there was a person who looked so much like that picture.. I would have bet it was a woman, but there was no bathing suit top on.. just a bottom.. My kids told me it must be a man, but I still don't know. It was scary!

Mine too. They see the Target bags laying around in every episode and think the show applies to me. The only reason any Target bags are laying around is because I can't get to my shelves to put the stuff away because their crap is in the way.
Uhmmm....does anyone else find this as funny a I do?

Annoyed

I meet my paper guy on Sundays at 3:00 promptly. I've only been late once and called to tell him I was gonna be late and got there 4 minutes late. It's 28 miles one way from where I live to where I meet him. He calls today at 2:45 to tell me he has no papers. Thanks (note the sarcasm please). I was less than 10 miles from the meeting spot. Paperless again. Three weeks ago I got a whole 7 papers total (and only because I dumpster dove for them). Papers from 8/29, I'm swimming in those (need a trade?) because I dumpster dove for them. Now nothing again Sadwalk

Maybe I shouldn't have a paper guy and just dumpster dive?
I dumpster dive (technically not diving since I only grab what's within reach of those tiny square foot holes) for my papers and am generally able to get 20+/week. Some weeks I barely get my 20, other weeks I leave twice what I took. And some weeks, whoever dumps the papers leaves me in suspense until Tues/Wed before unloading. If you have a reliable dumpster to dive from, I would do that, just to save you time and stress of having to drive that far! hug

My TP alert went off LMAO

Finally home for a small hospital break. Gathering up some laundry to do and have pizza crust going in the bread machine. Going to make 2 tonight and take some back to DS for dinner. One with gr. beef, pepperoni onions and peppers and a bacon chicken ranch yummy
Oooh, what do you put on the bacon chicken ranch pizza? I've made a bbq chicken pizza before, but yours sounds like something my hubby would love.

I use my mom's recipe for pizza dough, and it really isn't that difficult and its so yummy. Nothing beats homemade pizza. shake head

It's probably on TT, or copied and pasted into our Deals thread by now, but since I don't go to TT, and hardly ever go to Deals...
Glade Tough Odor Carpet Powder $1.99 (normal price)
-$.75/1 MQ (not sure what insert, but exp. 9-25-10)
-$1/1 TQ for Glade Tough Odor products
=$.25/ea and it's beepless!

I bought 4, since I sprinkle this stuff in the cat litter box in between changes to freshen it up a bit. It's much cheaper than the "litter box deodorizer" crap.

Thanks for posting that deal!! Those always go like crazy at yard sales, and I'm a little low on smelly stuff right now. Big Grin Not sure, but I think my Q was $1/1.

Oh, and can I get an invite to the diet thread?? Pretty please?? Wink I am sick of my clothes being tight and I am NOT going to start buying the next size up!!!

And my last dinner was Papa John's pizza. Not free anymore, but still yummy. And ... I'm about to go polish off some of the Starbucks ice cream that's calling my name! Maybe I'll sit on the couch with hubby as he watches the Redskins/Cowboys game. He's hoping the Skins can do well this year so those of us who live in the area can hold our heads high. Big Grin

fyi- the wailer who took over deals yesterday was the one who pm'd me demanding an apology b/c she thought me and stacymg said something rude about lurkers. which, in the last month, way over 10 of them have crawled out of the woodwork and freely owned up to.
Was I rude? I don't remember being rude. I coulda been rude. Very possible I was rude. Oh Noes! I may not be able to get any sleep tonight knowing I was rude. Meh.

ds decided to get out of his hospital gown and into his clothes this morning and promptly told the resident on duty that he wants to go home. We're now waiting on the attending to let us know if he can go home. He's not needed anymore oxygen but he is still having the headaches, so he crawled back into the bed and is taking a nap

I had to make a determination of who was more stable and where could I go next. My DH ended up being OK. His father is home getting better and my mom didn't make it. She went into a coma and then multiple organ failure.

So fellow dieters, what are you all having for your "last meal"? I am thinking Chinese
I had a homemade hamburger & Ore-Ida shoestrings. Reese Cups. Raisinettes. Little Debbie Swiss Miss roll. Young & Smiley strawberry licorice. Guess I should stop now, I'm embarrassing myself. But I did wash all that down with a diet Dr. Pepper. Big Grin

Quote from dreemedayze :
Tonight I'm having dorito's, bean dip, donuts, peanut butter cake, and Oreo's. I think I'll wash it down with a cold 42 oz cup of milk and then top my tank off with a box of cereal.

Tomorrow I plan on having an apple.
LMAO Make sure you throw in a carrot stick with that apple.

Dog went crazy the other night in the outside utility shed that is part of my back porch. She saw a mouse/rat I don't know which but I immediately knew it had to be one or the other because I had a couple bags of dog food stored in there. It's up off the ground so I didn't think I would have to worry but darned varmit found a way in Annoyed DSIL got the bags out for me today. Sure enough there was a little hole torn into the bag. Now I have to set a trap out for if/when it comes back.
Kill it. Kill it dead. Kill them all. All rats must die. The only mouse out there are cartoon mouses (mice just didn't sound right in this context), all the rest of them are rats, I don't care how small they are. I hate rats. Rats are the debil. Mad

Did a little T trip today. Got a bronze shelf, don't know why. Suave, Glade, 2 month Bounce bar which apparently is not part of the GC promo. Saw the de-humidifiers marked down to 50%. Think that's all.

Watching Big Brother, they just had a commercial for the 2nd season of Undercover Boss. How are they going to be able to do a 2nd season? I gotta tell ya, if someone came into my place of work saying they wanted to learn about the company or whatever & had a big ole camera crew with them...... I think I would be just a wheeeeee bit susupicious. Blink

What the hell are people thinkin? Do they seriously think they good in some that stuff. I'm not talking about the ones that just look crappy cuz they are in old baggy sweats and stuff like that. I'm sure we've all been caught dressed like the before.

There was one night a friend and I had been working her house -- painting and wall papering like crazy. We needed another gallon of paint and I don't think WM was open 24 hours at that time. We literally grabbed our purses and jumped in the van. We were 20 minutes into a 45 minute drive when one of us actually LOOKED at the other. OMG - stained paint covered sweats and t-shirts, our hair was sticking out everywhere and had paint in it. We were both dirty. Not just a little snudge, but PIG DIRTY. Yeah, we would have ended up on POW.

yesterday, dh said we would lose weight if we stopped sitting in front of the computer all day!

i absolutely love pizzaDrool dh tolerates it. but not for dinner. again, he had a bad experience and refuses to eat it for dinnerFrown.

i've been making french bread pizza for lunch once or twice/wk w/ the bakery tq. shredded lowfat mozzarella and diced fresh tomato. wish they had whole wheat demi-loaves. dh tolerates whole wheat bread b/c i told him he eats it only on the wknd, i eat the rest of the loaf so i get to pick what bread we eat. but if i could get whole wheat white he'd rather eat that.

peas are very high in fiber. one serving is like a third of the rda. if you eat more peas, you don't have to take fiber supplements like my bff does. you are so much better off getting it in your diet. laxatives and fiber supplements can get very expensive and she owns her own pharmacy. on top of that, she told me the citrucel isn't working anymore. she gets headaches and gets incapacitated when she gets constipated. which happens more often than it should b/c she has a horrible diet of processed, frozen and convenience food. when she eats healthy she doesn't have problems. which i wish she would b/c it's annoying discuss the subject every few wks when she knows what the solution is. who wants to keep talking about constipation all the time, sigh! it's not like we live in a senior home yet.
